| What's Peel? Forgive my ignorance. Salford must have some sort of share in it after all the work they've done.

| i guess the amateur clubs will use a training pitch to play their games as if they use the stadium itself they will have to staff it.

Peel - are Peel Holdings, the lot that own The Trafford Centre, Liverpool Airport, Barton Airfield (aka City Airport Manchester!) and many other commercial proprty developments!

Salford City Reds in effect (Via Red City Developments) were going to until late 2008, but now it will be a JV as mentioned above.

Salford are primary tennants. It is a pity we havent got the money to even own a percentage of the stadium. I suppose we will be no different than the likes of Hull, Wigan etc in that regard though.

| Great news boys..
The stadium plans look excellent.
I know some of you are disappointed at not owning the stadium but take heart that your revenues will still increase dramatically as a result. I am sure that more fans will attend the games as a result of the move. You can really market yourselves now as one of the regions premier sporting clubs with such a fantastic home.
Shirt sales, ticket sales etc will all raise and you'll be better off as a result.
Plus you seem especially lucky to have a council that values your presence in the city. You can't go wrong in my opinion. It's been a long time coming and you've been really patient and had to endure a lot of ridicule at times but I'm sure you'll all agree it has been worth it.

No but can Sale kick you lot out, namimg Leigh as their second ground, nice to see that Sale selected a team in Rugby League that reflects their own standing in Yawnian and don't won't to be associated with winners.

| Just thinking ahead to the new ground, when it opens think that it would be a good idea to make the first round or two of the 2012 season away games and invite whoever wins the NRL next season to be the opposition for the official opening game as they would be over for the world club challenge, that is of course providing we dont win the grand final next season
Imagine a full house for a game against the Broncos or someone of that stature and the memories that would provide for everyone in attendance.

It's hardly out of the question. There's usually a warm-up game for the team that's over for the World Club Challenge. Melbourne played at Quins this year and Halifax a couple of years back.
I actually think it's a really good idea and would be something that I would most likely go and see. It would attract fans from other clubs who would not only want to see what the new stadium looks like, but also to see an NRL team in action.

Well as a few of us know the club does take note of what is said on here and fully intends taking more of a note of the bright ideas some of us have, think that type of grand opening would be a proper way for what we all hope will be an iconic stadium, pity it isnt in the summer as the idea end to the day would be to get a local band of some standing to play and grab headlines on both fronts. We should be mooting this to the RFL right now so they can ensure that the world club challenge is played over herethat season and that the NRL sign up to the game and make it a flood blooded affair rather than an unlimited subs type friendly.
Would also love to see at some point a decent RL 7#s competition being held at the stadium, maybe get a RU team involved to increase exposure, always remember years ago the Wigan 7's and the fun we had there.

Are you winners? When?
Leigh told Sale no to coming to LSV.
