The Shed died the day they blocked the back of it off!

I know. Have to walk a fair distance now to have a piss.

At the end of the day, these "fans" give the club money. Why would they go and do something silly like banning them?

To be honest fella, they are totally rudderless when it comes to organising what to sing and when to sing it (they are like a mini warrington in a way bang a drum and ill they chant in time to the beat) and when they get bored and there is no atmosphere and thats when the abuse starts with "all hate scousers clap your hands" and the like, its a nothing song, a song fans will join in along to the same as do with a "SALFORD...SALFORD" chant.

They sing something positive or about salford back them, if they sing something negative or abusive or random leave them to hang themselves, it should work both ways as getting the atmosphere back in the shed is a two way street it wont take that long for them to notice what’s going on and im sure they will do the same as we all want our game day experience to improve

We work together and after a bit you can play on it a bit “left side give us a song?” ect its with any relationship ground rules need to be set.




The atmoshpere back in them days were electric from both sides as both went for it, in the main it was all lads together and pure testoterone, when we scored having to duck as bottles of pee came flying over from the leeds or Hull side of the shed.
Times have changed now tho and we cant expect to attract families to watch salford stand in a United shed and get behind the team if they think they will get smashed with a bottle as they probably wont come back.
I wouldnt want my wife or child to get caught up in a Salford/Hull/Leeds shed tear up from yesteryear.

There is enough people on here and stood in the shed who want to make it happen and get the atmosphere back, it might take a bit longer than it would if leeds or hull invaded our end but i think a start is needed.

As for banning people on club coaches cant they put stewards on the bus, keep them all in check, the worrying thing is in a couple of years they will have figured out they can get to away games on a train just as cheap and they will be drinking in the same pubs as us all day rather than just for 80 mins 1 every 2 week.

I know light a few flares run into the middle of them, throw the flares on the pitch, depart ninja style, then we'll all say we saw them do it.

On a further note its just not the usual pink cowboy hat brigade dishing out the vulgarity. There now seems to be a group of young lads and a few girlies ( if you can call them that) stood on the stairs just to the side of "the numpty group" who seem to be trying to take over the mantle the numpty group has started. Some of the chants and comments coming from them were just plain wrong. I actually felt ashamed that my 2 boys had to listen to it and really was thinking of moving away from them. But why should I have to move?

Anyway to get things rocking again lets get a "McRae for england" chant going he might think we love him again, then fingers crossed he might get the job and "do one!" leaving us to find a new person to shout at

Lets also start getting some of the older stuff going again. We've lost a lot of the ironic humour in the shed over the past few years. As others have said some of that stuff used to really make you laugh at times.

Who's for a bit of STAND UP IF YOU LOVE SALFORD, sit down if you love salford. That was a laugh

that was a memorable day, but i don't think my knees could do it anymore, just be "ARMS UP IF YOU LOVE SALFORD, ARMS DOWN IF YOU LOVE SALFORD,"

I believe this has already been tried. You'll have to ask the club as to why they haven't been dealt with...

One of the most humorous chants i remember coming from The Shed was when we nilled Catalan and we so nicely cheered them off with "nil points...you only scored nil points" in French accents!

Tbf i don’t think the club have any reason to ban them, yes they shout and sing inappropriate songs at inappropriate times but that doesn’t give them any reason to get banned i think that is just OTT imo. I agree about there being a divide in the shed it seems certain people will only join in if it is their group of mates that start the song off, the people at the front start songs trying to get behind the team and because the group at the top don’t like them they wont join in & vice versa. That needs to stop if the Shed has any chance of being rectified.

The way I look at it is like a school yard; everyone has their own little cliques and will only join in certain games when "their mates" do. Then they go and grass to the teacher when they do something wrong to get them in trouble/detention, but in this case it’s getting people banned! It’s childish FFS everyone needs to grow up a little. I'm talking about everyone, not just the so called "hooligans" at the front!

Lets face it Salford can’t really afford to ban any fans, we need all the fans we can get at this crucial time for our club.

We're all Salford fans and all though we have different ways of expressing our feelings we want the same thing, Salford to be successful in super league.
