| Quote: salfords no 1 "salford have today turned down a bid of £ 250,000 off st helens to sign richie myler ,at this time i cannot disclose my mole but what i will say is that he is in the know , and works at the willows'" Absolute cack! Why would a club fork out such a hge sum of money for a player they could potentially pick up for nothing next year?I think any club willing to pay now for Myler will set themselves a maximum of around 50 K and if that is rejected then they will take their chances on getting him next year without paying a fee.Even if Saints WERE willing to pay that why would they start at such a figure? And why wouldn't Salford snatch their hand off,he's going anyway.

| This thread is turning into a safe refuge for numpty fans from elsewhere.
Warrington having the best fans maybe at destroying a players confidence so he needs to be shipped out.
Lack of understanding of the bosman

I said that a few weeks ago when the rumours properly started to pick up. Bloody hope it doesn't happen anyway.

'IF' Richard Myler does leave the Willows I'm sure he will get a good send off.
And when he returns for his new club he will recieve more or less the same reception from the majority of Reds fans..
Anyway he's not gone yet......

I woudl support him where ever he wants to go.He isn't and has never pretended to be a salford fan. He should just do what's best for his career.
I think it would be good for him to stay at Salford for a bit but he knows more baout what's good for him than the fans do.
Salford can survive without Mr Myler

Not really, I couldn't care less if he goes to city. Just shows a lack of ambition.

Probably won't improve his spelling much I didn't realise fan base was relevant when discussing who a player is signing for. I suppose he would have more fickle people booing him at half time whenever Warrington are losing though.
I sure wish we had as much money and ambition as Warrington so we could win all those trophies they have as well. Oh wait....

| I honestly think that some of Myler's prospective "employers" (not to mention their fans) are showing a fair bit of arrogance in thinking that ANY move by this talented lad to THEIR club as opposed to him staying at Salford is a "knocking bet".
You may be right in the end but that's total disrespect for our club.
We may have been a yo yo team in recent years but at least we've run an honest and transparent club when it comes to the salary cap etc.
The only other thing about this whole business that bugs me is that Offiah appears to be using his new (other) career as a TV pundit/guest summariser to sales pitch young Myler to anyone that is prepared to listen.
I just hope that he makes the best decision for himself, as our game can be cruel with injuries.
If he stays .....great: if he goes "ll the best Richie".
