Stephenson just latches onto one aspect of the game and just won't let it go like a dog with a bone. The Leeds game it was their decision not to go for goal and today Catalan not playing wet weather football. He and his side kick have outlasted their sell by date by many seasons.

Stevo's constant cliches just annoy me now. 'They need to utilise the dummy runners', 'the French outfit', 'the little chip over the top', 'he needs to get the message out'. Just go Stevo. Please.

Even the coverage and the promotion of rugby league, never mind the people who are doing need throwing out.

I am just watching the Nines from New Zealand game after game, the coverage is out of this world, don't have to say any more to be honest.

Premier sports should be covering the Super league.

I agree, watched the 9's and it shone just how much talent is available for broadcasters, always say it but when Andrew Voss and Noble worked the world cup together they had a brilliant on air rapport.

I'd personally start again if I were Sky, not one of the current presenters is worth keeping on, Eddie and Stevo are just boring, Carney for me is clueless and has the most annoying accent imaginable, McDermott and O'Connor are just cringe worthy.

If pushed Jon Wells and possibly Phil Clarke might cut it but the rest not on any level worthy or presenting such a brilliant spectacle.

Sky simply don't care because no-one else wants to put RL on the TV (and include the BBC in that)...
So they just do as little as possible knowing this plus
a) We'll all tune in an watch games anyway - because we want to see rugby on tv
b) No other channel will bother trying to ever out bid them for it!

We really need some one like ITV, Channel 4 or Premier to actually up their ante and try to compete with Sky when the Super League contract is up... but they won't and we are stuck with SKY and have to be "happy" we get the coverage we do! *sigh*

The quality of the coverage, the quality of the pundits, the stream of adverts for Sky & various betting/bookmakers and the fact that Sky won't offer a sports package that doesn't include football means I watch the streams via 'other' streams.

I was sick of lining Murdoch's pockets while getting endless reams of football.

If i remember right, the reason we are still with SKY is because the RFL didn't even put it to tender, they just signed on the dotted line with Sky again.

I think a few chairman were not happy with the new contract, Koukash for one, and he thought the RFL had undersold the super league.

For me i would like to see it on premier sports, don't know what they would be like for covering live sport's themself's
as most of there coverage is from the host channel like channel 9 etc,

But who ever takes over from sky cannot be any worse.

Using other streams is fine,and why not if they're available,but then it's a bit rich criticising Sky's free coverage !

I'd have Sky sports in a heart beat if they did a package without football, I simply refuse to contribute towards ridiculous wages and broadcasting rights.

me too I want to watch Rugby League and lots of it.

I'm not a "knock off Nigel" I pay premier sports £12 quid a month for the NRL coverage and the footy show...I'm not interested in NASCAR or ice hockey once they stop broadcasting the NRL i'll drop em like a dirty stick.

I dropped sky sports when it was so it was unbearable......I couldnt justify the extra £30 or £40 quid a month they were sticking on top of my bill for sports coverage of which I watched about 3% of... so enough was enough.

Fox Soccer plus in the states airs more superleague than this country how stupid is that?

I agree I pay the £12 for Premier Sports and think it is tremendous value, I just simply refuse to pay inflated Sky prices when the one thing they push over all other sports is football.

Premier sports covered live national league games a few years back. Low budget production but it was decent. I'm sure if they had the budget of sky they could do a much better job.
Eddie and Stevo have been stale for many years. Sky have an obsession with referees and showing countless replays of 50/50 decisions where as in Australia they focus on the players, tactics etc. Is there any other sport that has a former referee as part of their commentary team?
