| Always enjoyed visiting the willows.
First time at your new home today and enjoyed it. Apart from having to park at the airfield and walking the long way in the rain i'd say it was great. Think if you can fill it for the big games the atmosphere will be great. The away end kept the noise in and think most of us enjoyed the game.

| I miss the Willows loads. The biggest thing the new stadium is lacking is atmosphere. It'd be a lot better if we could stand down one side, and there were a few extra things like pictures of past players etc, like Langtree Park. Nowt we can do though, I'm sure it'll feel a lot better if we can put a winning team together.

Agree completely about the finishing touches. Langtree Park is much better in that respect, although I do believe changes will be forthcoming.
As for atmosphere, I think the only hope right now is for some of the south stand fans to take the initiative here, as I don't have much hope that the push will come from the club.
Something does need to happen though.

| I miss it badly. I LOVED the Willows. What made it harder to leave was the appalling season and final game meek surrender.
I'm glad that many fans have 'moved on', but for me I'm still chosing to follow Salford from afar. I just don't fancy sitting in a soulless 'Plastic Box', sharing it with the kick and clap brigade and having the p*** taken out of me every season by the numpties in charge of the club.
I hope things change, but for now.....................I just don't fancy it.

| I have tried to like the new place but it is not a great match day experience. The parking is naff, there is no atmosphere. The worst aspect for me is the kiosk, yes one kiosk open against Bradford. I took three newbies for that game. One of the guys went to get the beers at 15mins to kick off. He turned up after 15 minutes gone. it is a joke, I can't imagine they will come again. The Sale fans will be shocked to find there isn't a proper bar.
Give me the Willows any day of the week. I could park, go to a pub and have a 5min walk to the ground. I could use decent toilet facilities in the club house. The atmosphere was great at times. With hindsight we should have stayed at the Willows and developed the site.

I totaly agree. Can someone please explain to me again why the Willows couldnt be developed?? Surely we could have done up the North stand , left the clubhouse there, and then developed the other 2 stands.

| I suppose redeveloping the Willows would have a lot of plus points compared paying rent in a new stadium, but if we ever want to be successful under the current ownership, we need to be attracting new fans. The Willows was never going to attract many new fans, wheras a shiny new stadium would (in theory), and also be more attractive to any potential investors or buyers in the future. The lack of atmosphere is a common trait of modern stadia sadly - but a few more finishing touches would help greatly, and it wouldn't even be that expensive. Plus the addition of a fan bar maybe.
Would the club or SMC ever consider letting the fans decorate the concourses, if anybody was willing to donate maybe an old signed shirt or something, have them in frames on the walls etc. And if the Sale fans aren't too pleased, they could do theirs in the North stand and have that as their home end.

If you renovated the Willows then Dave Tarry would still be able to roll out the comments that we can't attract crowds because people won't come to Weaste. At least that excuse has been crossed off.

| I'm not sure anyone bought that to be honest.
We are not short of things to moan about but IMO the one thing we have to be positive about is the ground (even though it's not finished). All we need now is a competitive team and strong off-field administration. Feel free to moan about that.

Because IMO it's a good ground. It needs finishing for sure but it has all the makings of a good base for us.
