Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book :Others/NA.JPG |

| I'd rather have Hazel Blears as Pm than Nick Griffin as MEP

| Think Hazel was trying to eat a very large slice of humble pie in yesterday's interveiws.
As one of the area's M.P's is losing his seat because of boundery changes & we will have 2 instead of 3 in this area, Barbara Keeley thouroughly deserves to keep her seat, but with what has happened with Hazel Blears, I think she should be de-selected & Ian Stewart should have the nomination for the vacant seat. He is not my M.P. but what I have seen of him, he would get my vote.
Always found him to be very aproachable to chat to about concerns & he has always sent an answer or pointed me in the right direction, as already said, & he is not my MP.
Hazel appears to have realised how much damage SHE has done to HERSELF by the response she received when back in her party office in Salford.
Hazel should have had the thoughts she is having now prior to her recent behaviour.

| According to GMR last night they are expecting a vote of no confidence in her from the Constituency at its forthcoming meeting.
Methinks she may well be out of a job very shortly.
Difficult to argue that she hasn't brought it all on herself.

| I predict she won't be deselected.
44 delegates? I reckon the result will be 15-27, with two not turning up.
Fancy a sweepstake? Has the game started yet?

Good call; rlshe survivedrl deselection.
Also, it’s interesting to see that the MPs expense claims have been officially released... with huge bits blacked out. So if it wasn’t for the whistleblower, in the end, we wouldn’t have known about ’flipping’ homes and the like.

| Just to make it 100 posts for this topic:
Three surgeons are discussing who were the best patients to operate on.
The first surgeon says, 'I like to see electricians. Everything inside them is colour-coded.'
The second surgeon says, 'You know, I like builders. They understand when you have a few parts left over at the end, and when the job takes longer than you said it would.'
But the third surgeon observed, 'You're all wrong. Politicians are the easiest to operate on. There's no guts, no heart, no balls, no brains, and no spine, and there are only two moving parts - the mouth and the r. sole- and they're interchangeable.
Thanks to Mr Platt on the Lancashire Fusiliers website.

| Went to the Salford do last night & the Chairman spoke positively about Barton.
Hazel Blears was asked to make the Raffle draw and had - shall we say - a mixed reception from the audience.

| but she didn't draw out my two entries, anyway you don't enter a raffle to win you enter to help a good cause.
Looking around last night I reckon there were many tory voters in the room which would account for some of the booing she received.
