953.jpg 2015 - major missed opportunity, 2016 - stronger teams = harder task (no problem there then), 2017 - OMG What now!!!:953.jpg |

| Quote: mb "i think our props will struggle again this season apart from cashmere they struggle to make many yards, feka will provide some when he comes on but for how long? then youve got neal, jewitt and boyle who are just steady but we need more from them. then theres parker and sidlow who are just not good enough for props. we need the props to provide us with a good platform to attack but if they struggle like they have in previous seasons i can see us struggling again. i hope they prove me wrong but cant see it especially if cashmere or feka get injured'"
Well your poster Red League reckons Feka has lost 4 stone over in NZ and will be able to do 80 minutes if necessary.....ok so how many said I'll believe it when I see it. He may have passport probs coming back if he has lost 4 stone. Reckon he'll look completely different to his passport photo

| At the end of the day it was just a friendly and most Leythers know it would be a completely different story if it wasn't, anyway good luck for the coming season.

| Been putting off commenting on the match since I left the LSV on Monday, not wanting to post any 'knee jerk reaction' . trouble is two days after my views haven't altered.
I thought about dissecting the team and individual performances but say how impressed I was with Leighs team, they thoroughly deserved the win. apart from a couple of moments of class from Gibson & Godwin we were ordinary and outclassed especially in the middle of the park. Am I the only person that left the LSV wondering between Jewitt and Nash ,have we let the wrong forward go?
otherwise I'm glad we have 6 weeks for those who played to buck up their ideas and learn/remember how to play to SL standard and develop some support play.

| Don't agree about the props as I thought Jewitt was our mom, he really hurt a few and is gonna be a big player for us this year!!

| In reply to KMT, Jewitt had a couple of barnstorming runs. On the other hand, he also got completely dominated and driven back on moe than one occasion. Hopefully when the season starts for serious he'll drive the ball in hard every single time. I still. I still question McRae's ability to motivate any Salford team!! For me, he's running out of chances, and if he doesn't produce in the season, he's a goner.

| Uninspirational stuff as ever but at least Macrae gets let off for this one as "it was only a friendly". As people have said there wasn't enough from the props at all. Gibson looked very assured at FB and classy as ever when chiming into the line and I though Godwin was excellent when he was on too.
Very impressed with Leigh though, they looked very organised and their number 6 (Ridyard I think) was MOM by an absolute mile. Him, Robbie Paul and Duffy are going to be a handful in their league and with the likes of Littler, Nanyn and Donlan supporting then I don't think they'll struggle to score points.

He has never "produced" at Salford and should have been sent packing ages ago - thank god it's the last year of his contract !!!

Very True Mr Ceaser, we will have a real problem though as i can see the reds storming in the Top 8 and as a reward Mr wilky decides Mr Mcrae is the man to take us into Barton as a way of thinks!!! Nightmare scenario

As a Leyther, you’re one of us the moment you come here to wear the shirt. I don't care where you were born, what colour you are, what religion you are, what language you speak. You're one of us, part of our culture, writing our history as you create your own, and making us stronger for it....[/quote:suio7kr3]:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10303.jpg |

Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book :Others/NA.JPG |
