| Quote: Bigpev "As we know we are in Superleague for the next two seasons at Least why don't the club do a two year deal on a season ticket, that way we would increase the revenue coming into the club, and prepare us for a move into the new stadium, which with the new fans would compensate for the loss of revenue in the second season.'"
sounds good to me, say around £280-290 for a two year season ticket sounds good.

I think the club relys on the season ticket sales each season so they have money in the pot, for a two season season ticket you'd have a massive pot to start with but for the 2rd season maybe not enough to buy anyone.
I remember when we didnt have a home game for it felt like 8 month this season, and there was bit lack of cash flow then, good idea in thery but i think you would have to have a serious budget so we dont go boom and bust.

| There has been some good ideas on here from various people. I wonder if anyone from the club will use them or put them forward to the right people. As a few have said, whats happened to the big match day posters that were at the hope and along the height? I always remember the one with korki looking massive, sporting a black eye! Plus the school scheme was a great idea! Thats what got me down to the willows when i was in school, now i've been going for 6 years after leaving, also still see alot from school who have done the same thing.

| Got to be honest I think the £17 admission price is crazy, for someone like me who doesn't buy a season ticket due to work reasons turning up to a game, a few massivley over priced 3/4 pints in the ground and transport becomes a very dear do indeed.
A good idea for me for floating visitors would be that if you turn up with a child under 13 you get cheaper admission as the kids are the future of the club.

If there was a membership scheme which gave discounted admission would you sign up?

Yeh, I simply can't see that in a time when people are feeling the pinch a price of £17 is value, throw in the simple fact that in our heart of hearts we all know at the begining of the season were not going to challenge for anything other than a cup run and does seem to a heavy price for a single game.
The season ticket and especially the kids one are good value for money but for me at present it wouldnt be viable to buy one.

Quite. They are bang out of order expecting me to pay out of my own pocket for me to watch a game.

| I remember a few years back, and it was a few, Wigan were still at Central park and the they put up the entrance fee to £5.50 from £5.00, and guess what there were people demonstrating on the road bridge saying that they wouldn't pay more than a Fiver for rugby. This when Wigan were winning everything, what the club have to take into account is what they money they need to run the club and how much people are prepared to pay to bring in the much needed revenue and how many will come.
If the club were to drop the price down to £10.00 they would have to be sure that we could get average gates of at least 8,500 to make up the revenue which without massive sales of season tickets and great performances on the pitch that size of crowd will not happen.
Perhaps different season tickets might help, with books of 5, 10 and full season with different prices per game in each book, eg full season average price £12.00, 10 tickets £13.50 and the 5 ticket book at £14.00. That way people who can only attend a few games will still benefit and support the club.

| Heared a rumer that the club were lookin at a fifty pound season ticket and then pay just 10 pound on the gate, not sure how it works out , cant be bothered to do the maths ( big pev ) with that you still get your free replica shirt. But how ever it works out will still get my season ticket as i have done for years, even though i have only been to 4 home games and two away games this season, friday nights and my buisiness dont realy mix, sundays for me but thats another topic.

£50 up front plus
£10 x 13 games = £130
total £180.00
Minus £45 for shirt
= £135.00
so the season ticket is just like a membership
pay on the gate
£17 x 13 = £191
so you save £11.00 if you attend all games but still have the shirt worth £45 a total saving of £56.00 over the season.

I never realised teaching immigrants how to harvest corn could be so taxing.
