Quote king of the shed="king of the shed"...can I just add that if it wasn't for Salford City Reds RLFC and it's need for a stadium that provides the standards that Super league and indeed the licence process requires, there wouldn't be a stadium at all.'"
I'm going to use this statement as a starting point. KOTS is absolutely correct... If it wasn't for Salford City Reds... there would be no stadium at all.... so.... Why not build it with a specification to suit the club. We should fit into that stadium like a glove... so do we ? Not at all.
I make my point again... this isn't so much about just having blue seats. This is about not having enough of a say in a stadium that will be primarily used for Salford City Reds home games. I just can't see how people can't see this. It's not as trivial as many may see it.
Yes we are grateful for the assistance from other parties in getting us this opportunity... but what will be the next kick in the teeth ?
Perhaps the next one will be seeing the main stand with the Reds logo at one end.... and the Sale Sharks one at the other end ? Will that be so trivial ?
The one after that will be getting our games moved to accommodate a Rugby Union game because that will be the bigger crowd pull ? Will that be so trivial ?
When will it get to a point when some people say.... 'Hang on a minute... something ain't right here... why isn't anybody speaking up ?'
How bad does it have to get ?.... Salford try to arrange a game for a Friday night... and being told that Maureen has booked a Zumba class at 7.30 so we'll have to move the game
Far fetched I know... but you get my point.
So please... see this as not just a bunch of the wrong colour seats... see this as the club not having the balls to stand up... and instead being a yes sir no sir club.... The club should be standing up to whoever made these decisions and saying 'NO'
