Last Season when asked about marketing & ticketing deals to attract new fans it was pointless withthe quality & results the team were delivering .

there is a alot resting on the opening fixtures , especially the wakey game.
the 1st home game of 2011, with a host of new signings & pledges to make the playoffs, against St Helens we had a 6,000 crowd, were on the end of a 56-22 pasting, and crowds had dropped to below 3,000 by march.
We've 13 players new to Salford who've got to hit the ground running , a couple of dud performances could have an impact on the new & lapsed speccies , two or three impressive wins however could set the bandwagon rolling , high stakes .

Its going to be a full house for the first game but will they be able to maintain it for a full season.If we are in a good position come the last 4 games of the season then expect more full houses as those last 4 games are very winnable and the right results could see us in the play offs

I'd be very worried that the people from the SMC couldn't cope with a full house. The Doc address the issues we all experience when attending games as a matter of urgency, to many times the little things fall apart meaning it ruins the experience. At least I can make sure that they have enough gas to get the beer through the pumps, anyone work for a brewery to make sure they order enough kegs

Might be a business opportunity to lob a few crates of beer in the boot off the car and sell cans as it'll be the only beer available come half time.

theres been a few times in an empty stadium i`ve found an away supporter in my seat because a group 4 clown has said just sit there , i would genuinely fear for crowd safety if we got a full house with those idiots running security

All I know is that my two seats will be empty because I can't organise a preverbial for my life and wont be in Engurlundshire until after the game!!!!!!

Bit harsh that. I think you'll find most Wakefield fans have no animosity toward Salford. A club like us who've been 'through the mill' over the last few years and who have now been fortunate to have a wealthy backer.

Many are browned off by a Salford poster who pops up on our forum at regular intervals to tell us that you've signed Danny Kirmond but other than that I doubt there's much hate.

Anyway, looking forward to the game, I'm sure both sets of supporters see it as a 'winnable' game. Hope it's a decent crowd.

Don't talk wet, why would anyone from Wakefield hate you. Yes we want to spoil the big day but "hate" don't make me laugh.

I suspect the 'Hate' from the Wakey fans is directed at RED LEAGUE rather than Salford.

Think the days of people having a bit of a soft spot for Salford are long gone following the Doc taking over. Would be nice if supporters from other clubs would embrace the fact that he is good for the game and offers the chance to attract some much needed new investment.

And as for Wakefield I always want them too do well, if we are to drop a team at the end of the season I hope it's Cas and not Wakey.
