| Got to admit I'll have to eat my words, I feared for the worst with Raging Bull, but they've pulled a blinder with the new shirt, probably up there with my personal favourite 2011 shirt.
It's good to see back to red /white, does anyone know what colour the shorts and socks will be?

Sure I'd seen a picture today of the full kit and they looked red and white also.
Was sort of expecting the away kit too, hope we get to see it soon.

| Yeh meant to ask about the away shirt as I didn't hear it mentioned.
Can't find any pics with shirts / socks.
As I've previously said the kid who win the shirt design comp must be pretty miffed, unless their going to use that design for the magic weekend????

Check Salford's Vimeo site. They've got a promo vid with Evalds wearing the full kit.

Just seen that, think it's brilliant the very second the word Happiness is sung in the lyrics Evalds appears looking about as happy as Chase did at his Leigh unveiling the other day.

A few observations:
Niall isn’t wearing socks. If he is, they are not red and white but invisible. Chris Hesketh is coming out of retirement (finally!). There is a sponsor on the seat of the short; perhaps they should rename the company to Securit.

| Quote: John Gilbert Reds "No doubting it’s a huge name, but all we’ve been told is they are giving us 9 vehicles for the clubs use whereas with the Trafford Centre deal for example, we knew it was worth £200,000 which for a club of our size and stature was a genuinely great deal.
I’m by no means knocking it, just interested to know how much the club will be receiving so it can be compared to previous sponsorship deals to understand just how good it actually is. I remember you raving about Under Armour last season, another big, worldwide name but ultimately our deal with them saw the club lose money from a vital income stream.'"
I totally get what you are saying and agree, yes it's a massive and very impressive name and I'd rather the club got 9 cars or whatever than cod and chips all round, but money is a big part that's a given, that said I seem to remember the administrative headquarters of rugby league giving our game away in return for some pictures on the side of a few trailers !!!!!!
Either way as a fan I'd rather see Mitsubishi on the shirt than a chippy etc, especially if it is the HQ rather than a dealership.
As a side the club have done well in the past with main sponsorships actually having some massive brands like Media City The Trafford Centre and ESAB
Well done.

| Quote: Michigan red "I see the benefits of Mitsubishi as this.
Salford have a genuine powerhouse company on board, to simply be associated with someone of the magnitude of Mitsubishi is massive for the club.
Other potential sponsors look at the quality of exisiting sponsors, they look and think there is obviously something or worth here we should get involved.
Mitsubishi will without doubt be involved on game day, more so you'd see them bringing their own corporate sponsors and you'd hope someone with the Docs business savvy would schmooze with them.
We are near one of the largest industrial areas in Europe, Mitsubishi isn't just fast sports cars, they are more involved in heavy industry. Your a supplier/manufacturer on TP looking at using Mitsubishi products and you see the Salford name on the website, can't on any level hurt.
The cars, obviously the club gets a much better deal than they would do without the tie in, every little helps.
If the club used it's head I'd look at doing something to get every season ticket used at every game, get a vehicle from Mitsubishi and say that at half time during the last home game there is a draw made, the winner gets a the vehicle either to keep or on a years free lease. Obviously only those who have attended every game can be in the draw.
Sure there are loads more.
I hate to belittle Wakefield as I have a genuine affection for them (and hatred of their noisy neighbours) but can you see anyone other than Sarsons Vinegar and Tizer looking good next to the Chippy sponsors?'"
Not often you're right and you're wrong again. The main shirt sponsor is Backstage Academy. The Wetherby Whaler is just a one off for a pre season friendly game. Do keep up.

| Whereas sponsors such as Media City and the Trafford Centre are welcome, they are big in a regional context. You could see why local links are vital and when they are as impressive as these two, well done.
Mitsubishi is an international name: it displays a very different and harder hitting image. It's now down to the playing staff to display to Mitsubishi, pride and success that is worthy of a company of such stature.
Well done Doc.
