I think it's unfair to say it was an underachieving season for us especially considering how much the wage bill has reduced over the past couple of years. But for the 6 points deduction we would have made the playoffs for only the second time. Apart from a couple of games against Leigh and London in the 8's (Where we failed to match their effort and enthusiasm) I thought in general it was a big improvement in not only results but team spirit.

The big concern for me now is who will replace Tim Sheen's? It's not to take anything away from Watto but I think we still need an experienced and respectable figurehead in the mould of Sheen's to oversee matters and guide us.

Koucash has already said, nobody is replacing sheens and he's not ploughing as much money in to off the field staff

That would be a big mistake in my opinion but I hope I'm proved wrong.

I am totally confused, last week on my way back from Batley while listening to Manchester radio interview MK said, if Salford stay up he will be stepping down, if Salford go down he would be staying. I suppose a week is a long time in the life of MK!
When you talk about the feel good factor & the interest generated from this weekend game, his premature remarks already start the negative factor.

Good luck next season it will be tough, you did well to come back and beat us and gives us a perfect opportunity to release some players without paying a fee.. so now the rebuild can begin.

Originally I favoured Salford for the drop, the poor attendances by Salford fans home & away & the apparent apathy of Salfordians towards supporting their biggest professional sporting club (Salford not Manchester) being the driving factors.

Events or rather comments over the last week from Cockayne, Captain Peacock & that little Lab Rat Webster swung my opinion full circle & so I am really pleased Salford survived.

Got to say that MK should have been nowhere near the pitch as soon as it became apparent there was crowd trouble *not getting into fault/blame*, but it didn't look good.

At least now we have another Greater Manchester RL Club & an easier journey to the AJ Bell in SL 2017.

So come on Salford fans, if away fans can get to the AJ Bell then so can you, time to start spreading the word of Salford RL.

That's good to hear as I wouldn't like to see people out of a job. I understand your disappointment and I have sympathy but please don't lay all the blame on our doorstop. I'm sure you'll feel less need to bash us with post after post when you eventually come to terms with the result. Ask yourself if your posts are actually making you feel better? My guess is it's just getting you more worked up dwelling on what happened. It's gone you have to move on. All the best for the future I'm sure you'll bounce back. Genuinely.

My post was the fact that its ironic that after surviving, Koukash is looking to cut back whereas it appears we'll have mire money.
