Sorry. I misunderstood assuming that the Grand Final was on at the same time as the footy. I won't be going to OT myself as I intend staying in our clubhouse for after match celebrations following our home victory that day! Either that or I'll be drowning my sorrows. icon_wink.gif

I was at Norton last night to see Irlam FC go down 2-1 after a late goal from Norton United. Feisty game. The Norton players pressued everything the whole game and probably just deserved the win.

Next Game for Irlam: Rochdale Town at home on Saturday.

Irlam picked up another win, this time against Rochdale Town at home. Final score was 4-1. Very comfortable. Next up Leek CSOB away, who haven't lost yet this season.

Former United, and now Burnley, player Richard Eckersley was in attendance. He is mates with a few of the Irlam players and was warming up with the Irlam subs at half-time. The gulf in quality between Premier League and North West Counties was very clear to see.

I'm still scratching my head and wondering how Salford City ended up on the wrong side of a 3-2 scoreline at Chorley today. Having been ahead 1-0 and 2-1 the Ammies somehow contrived to lose a game that on chances created and overall possession they should have won out of sight.

You sure it wasn't 2-1? icon_surprised.gifops: icon_lol.gif

Played well, just got no cutting edge up front. Kendal will be pushing to win this division I reckon, very good side. Shame they're a bunch of snidey, dirty, cheating little f*ckers with it, mind. They don't need to act like that.

Two huge home games coming up for Salford City starting this Saturday when Unibond Premier League side Marine are the visitors in the FA Cup 1st Qualifying Round. This is followed on Tuesday 15th September 7:45pm when the Ammies take on unbeaten league leaders Halifax Town in what will undoubtably be Salford's highest attendance of the season. Can't wait!

Couple this with the Reds against Leeds on Friday night means three games in five days. Whoo-hoo!

An excellent display from Salford City saw the home side win through to the FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round with a deserved 2-1 victory over Unibond Premier League side Marine with the final scoreline failing to underline the Ammie's overall superiority. Absolutely brilliant afternoon for all Salford fans which really sets the scene for Tuesday night's game against table toppers Halifax Town.

Hope Red's fans don't mind but I nicked the der der der, de der der chant for use at Moor Lane today. Absolutely brilliant afternoon for all Salford fans which really sets the scene for Tuesday night's game against table toppers Halifax Town,'"

Great win for Salford that, especially given your troubles in the league.

Leigh drew 1-1 at Mossley but I missed the game through work icon_sad.gif
