agreed , comments abound about Harris is glum , doesn't smile & looks uncomfortable infront of Camera.. I've never seem Wane smile and I only understand about 1 in every 3 words he says.
Harris has been with Wigan set-up since late 2011, so even if he only brings with him his experience from that set -up , that won't be a bad start.
Shane Flanagan knocking about the place in a week or two's time won't hurt either.

Couldn't agree more, although I always felt Noble was a stop gap I wanted to see a top replacement take us to the next level not sure Harris is that person but I so hope im wrong. In the meantime we get behind him and give him 100% support.

justifiably nervous I would surmise , considering the limited resources at his disposal up until this season , you could say he's over performed,
But Marwan doesn't step lightly andI expect a bulldozer , not a broom will be used to revamp the academy structure,
one wonders ( I have no idea ) what resource Wigan & leeds , support Staff & finance for their academy structure , and what Flanagan has at his disposal for Cronulla Sutherland , could be a wake up call for both .

Koukash sounds like he would if he was running a top business Company. (Especially after reading MR's link above) Something which he is undoubtedly got a first class record in. He's looking to constantly improve and get better short and long term. I think a lot of us, myself included, are wary of changes to accepted norms. In this case restructuring a RL Club on the fly. We see wholesale change as a bad thing, the more there is the worse it will be. We see change to senior management too soon as a terrible move, yet it happens in all other organisations all the time. Koukash is challenging these norms that we take as sacred. Time will tell if they are correct or not, or whether you can apply the same mentality to a sports Club that you can to other business.

At the end of the day, he's the Boss.

We've heard calls for years about how RL needs to claw its way into the modern era. That we're all entrenched in our own way of doing things. I think Salford is a massive experiment in trying to do it differently, and whether it works or not it's got to be worth trying?

If anyone is capable of succeeding I'd put my money on the Dr. He's driven, enjoys the challenge, and wont accept defeat on his own part.

I'm still enjoying this ride, and I'm sure there's a lot of fans of other Clubs whether they admit it or not, that would have him in a heartbeat.

Like I said in another thread, the Dr has got all upset with early results effectively sacked nobby for Harris in a temper tantrum. He is showing all the signs of a bloke that if at end of season the team has not done want he wants then he will sulk and go home taking his cash with him.

Hopefully the latter, as looking at what Alan Hunte has achieved over the last few years with presumably pretty limited budgets and resources it seems pretty good to me. I'm all for vision & direction (and Dr K seems to have no shortage of either) but would hate to see babies being thrown out with bathwater!!

it was becoming a little one dimensional under nobby, a lot of teams realising that if you contain chase then it was job done. Lets see what Harris brings eh..

I noticed that the Doc posted on Twitter yesterday that he now wants stability and is now looking to invest heavily in the very best young players and their development.

Perhaps the stability comment was an indirect message to his players that he doesn't want them to come whining to him directly every time there's an issue. I know Marwan appears ruthless but I'd guess he's hurting at losing a close friend in Noble and I think in hindsight he would probably have handled the situation differently.

If Brian Noble isn't coming back it's imperative that the Doc finds somebody quickly who knows the game inside out that he can trust. A person that has Marwan's best interests at heart rather than the people he employs.
