Some good news for Salford.

I can't see why buying Salford RLFC would help him get into the property development around the stadium. I may have mis-understood the move to the new stadium, but I thought Salford were now tenants, or do they still own some share in the stadium and the land???

He could just as easily buy shares in Peel holdings if he wants a foothold in them, so the SL club must be offering him something else than just a land development oppertunity?

i know my horse racing and this guy is brilliant for horse racing, he has some cash to say the least and is one of the biggest owners in british horse racing, follow alot of his horses, had over 100 winners last year, loves chester

would be brilliant to have such a guy in rugby league, hes not daft and knows what hes doing aswell, hope it comes off would be brilliant for salford and rugby league to have him involved

This Koukash story is still pure speculation , but at this point I couldn't care less if he'd never seen a game before. Up until 2007 Koukash wasn't involved in Flat Racing now he's in the top 10 winning owners.
He's married to a St Helen's girl so RL shouldn't be that alien to him.

He's a doctor of electrical engineering. He could double-up and replace the bulbs that were out last Sunday.

Fair play to the good Doctor for wanting to get involved in RL - he seems like a good sort and has been based in the area (Liverpool) for a number of years, that said I'd be slightly concerned that he'd have Jamie Spencer on the wing and Luke Patten riding one at Chester the same day



Hopefully this is the end of a sad period in the clubs history, the new ground should help with any takeover bid etc. too

Correct. Talk of being the "Manchester city" of rugby league is wide of the mark, the salary cap will see to that. All we need is an initial pool of cash and someone with the nous to run the club in a proper, business-like fashion. The rest will take care of itself.
