Erm, the number one reason why players are wanting out and we may struggle to attract top players is Marwan, pure and simple fact..

A sports team owner should show respect towards ALL corporate sponsors, not just the ones who worship him
A sports team owner should never slag off the fans of his club

Most importantly, a sports team owner has the number one task of ensuring he, and his senior business management people have a solid foundation to deliver and maintain a Duty of Care to not only the players but also the club, sponsors and fans alike - this I'm afraid is where Marwan has let the club down

Marwan is so close, yet so far from turning Salford into a genuine force in Super League. You can ultimately blame the coach, but if Koukash changed his attitude and approach to his ownership we would see a sudden upturn. However, he cant help himself and that is fundamentally where he and we will fail.

I'm kind of hoping that if Harris is sacked and someone of the stature of Tim Sheens comes on board, he will have enough about him to put Marwan in his place and intimidate him a little due to his reputation.

It's so frustrating because some simple changes from the owner could reap huge benefits.

I totally sympathise with the players at the moment and can understand their desire to move on.

Well you also have to factor in that Saints are a champion team and there is a person on their coaching staff who knows about our talent.

As I mentioned in an earlier post the best swap deal offer from one of the eight interested clubs. Why should the club let a player they have invested 4 years in leave on the cheap simply because he's been tapped up?

Whether its France or not, he's still playing on a platform against the elite in RL. Also more appearances and international caps suggests he would have more experience than both Lineham and Sneyd. As mentioned before, wingers are ten-a-penny whereas quality half-backs aren't hence why Hull paid us £125k for Sneyd after he had a great half a season at Castleford.

Lets just be clear I am not suggesting we should be commanding anything near the level that Marwan mentioned yesterday.

What makes you think Saints are going to pay a fee for anyone? I don't think it's us that is causing Theo's transfer request. I wouldn't be surprised if it were Warrington or Leeds.

Just convenient and coincidental that the week after Long and Cunningham publically praise him, his agent advises him to hand in a transfer request and force a move? As you say, it would seem unlikely that Saints are going to pay a fee of £125k plus but then good young half-backs don't come around too often.
