| It sounds flippant amongst the impending financial meltdown, but I can't have been the only person gobsmacked with the news that the coach thinks we're well covered in the prop forward position.

| As I said previously work commitments meant I couldn't attend but as other have said the future certainly looks clouded at the minute.
One thing that does worry me is that it is reported that the RFL are in negotiations with a serious investor who wishes to take over the club but as yet they have not divulged the identity of this person to the board.
My questions are why would the investor be having dialog with the RFL when surely they should be in contact with the owner/board and should the interested party prove genuine will the RFL offer assistance until any due diligence is completed to allow squad strengthening and other urgent needs pre season?

Agreed I feels like discussing whether you like the music the band is playing on the deck of the Titanic .
At the meeting there was a lot of deflecting recruitment choices to the incumbent Coach , IE McCrae choices/ Parish Choices / Veivers choices ,
the available candidates were drawn up by SS via agents etc , contracts & work permits sorted by SS .
I don't think it's the breadth of cover at prop but Veivers ultimately not wanting to waste valuable wages on a player who wanted out. At the moment it will be a rare breed who wants in .

My main concern on this would be whether there would be any assurance that this person can't "do a Winkelman" and move the franchise to Edinburgh/Dublin/Bristol/Cardiff/Reykjavik.

| Apologies if it’s been mentioned, however, was a question put to the chair regarding season tickets, or the lack of them?
I’ve no idea how many were sold last season, but, if there had been a couple of thousand adults, surely that would have put some money into the coffers.

Because our bank account has been frozen and we cannot pay money out, they did not want to sell STs and be unable to refund the cash if the unthinkable happened.

| Of course that's all well and good but what if you have already paid for this season like I did last year? How am I gonna get my money back?
As for a potential investor talking to the RFL, I am glad they are if true and not talking to the man that has got us into this in the first place. After last night it seems to me that Wilky is either totally incompetent or at worst corrupt. Loans secured against the club that he wanted the council to pay for.....please!!!
If he holds this club in any sort of esteem he should walk away.
The RFL did the negotiating for Bradford too didn't they? Why not get Superleague Europe to buy us out? I know it is a ridiculous notion but they were on the table for the Bulls and I'll take anything right now. Maybe we'd get a few refs calls if the league actually owned us

| What on earth are you talking about?
What he actually said was that the existing director's loans were converted to shares and then to be transferred to the new owners at no cost - ie he was writing off his loans - or did I misunderstand it?

That's how I understood as well.

I'd hope that could happen, but, the SLE bid for the Bulls was only ever a holding plan to get the club to the end of the season when SLE would either immediately sell to whoever came forward or put the club into liquidation, they were never going to carry it forward as a going concern owned by SLE. I fear the timing of your situation in the off season is not going to help, I have little doubt if Bradford had gone into admin in the close season the result for us would have been much different and far far worse, and the SLE bid would never have appeared.
Good luck, from someone who knows what you're going through, I hope it works out somehow, and if you do come up with some fundraising ideas that might make a difference be sure to promote them as widely as possible, Im sure they'll be plenty of donations from Bradford fans.
All the best.

Bizarre to think the club didn't realise they were some way short of the 8,000 figure until the season ended as they made no real effort to increase attendances - even lowly based soccer clubs show some initiative
opposed to giving out freebies - rlStoryrl
Even bizarrerer - how were we allowed to sign Andrew Dixon ? How any club can owe HMRC twice in one year is well beyond my comprehension - particularly when HMRC aren't very impressed with sports clubs, and especially rugby league after Crusaders descent into administration the first time to be taken out by the same owners, and the RFL having a charge on the stadium. Here are some contrasting stories while decisions are made, perhaps,on collecting some money and seeing how far we get.

| One thing just struck me.
If as has been reported the clubs bank accounts have been frozen where has the money from the player sales gone? I know the players have been paid this month so hopefully it's been put to use right there.

I was told they have been by a normally reliable source. Hope so as if not I see more valuable players jumping ship.
