| We seem to back to the doom and gloom of the last 30 or so years . Why can't anything run smoothly for Salford ? every other week there is a drama of sorts.
I suspect the Dr, initially ploughed money in, to a certain level then expected the increased attendances to pay for the running of the club. I don't think he has as much money as we are led to believe.
Just wonder if Tim Sheens is bringing in structured experienced players in, while cutting down high earners wage bills. Just hope its onward and upwards otherwise here comes the Championship

We cant have a repeat of the 2012 Christmas where we didn't know if we would even have a club to support the following month. At least if we as supporters look into our options, we know where we could possibly stand.
PS - Koukash really hasn't got the money he projects, otherwise half of these problems wouldn't be an issue. You only have to read the accounts of his businesses to understand that.'"
Hi John Gilbert Reds, do you work at SRD or have really good contacts there ?. You always seem to hit the nail on the head

I wish I did work there, however I am just an average fan like yourself with some pretty sound contacts in and around the place.

Good john wilky last looked out
on the pitch at salford.
when the snow lay round about
deep and crisp and even
brightly played the lads that night
though the frost was cruelllll
when poor swinton scored a try

| Seriously I'm fed up. I'm resigned to the fact that I will never see a successful Salford RLFC so I'm happy to start again from the bottom. Koukash was our last chance of any success however he has done nothing but lie to us. The man has ripped the soul out of our club, killed it and he is slowly killing my passion. The sooner he packs up the better.

Feel exactly the same, even to the point where if you asked me whether I would renew my ST for next season today I would say no.
HOWEVER... I still think it is too soon to be giving up on Koukash just yet. We all know we've had a disappointing 2 years since he took over (its actually 3 I know, but it’s unfair to count that first season) which has been accumulation of poor coaching appointments and player signings. As a man with zero knowledge of the sport, the first thing Koukash should have done was appoint an experienced Director of Football, Brian Noble would have been far better suited to this role than the day-to-day task of head coach. We’re now 2 years down the line since the “Red Devilution” and we’ve finally got that man and it couldn’t be anyone better to be fair. It’s the best appointment the club have ever made in my 27 years of supporting them.
Tim Sheens cant change was has gone before his arrivial, ie Marwan agreeing to pay players x with side bonuses here and there. Then when he fails to pay this on time, causing a huge fall out. All he can do is work with the effect of that and make a fresh start, hopefully the agreement of players contracts will be left to Sheens. Infact, hopefully everything is left to Sheens and Koukash literally just sits back and signs the cheques as and when. Can I see this working? No, because my experience of MK over the last three seasons is he cant help but get involved.
We have a life line and his name is Tim Sheens, if he can influence Marwan enough we could be OK. It will take a while to repair the damage of the owners actions prior to Tim’s arrival but it can be done. When Sheens leaves, then I’ll be resigned to us needing to start from scratch (again).

I'd implore anyone who feels this way to join Forever Reds and get involved. Even if you have issues with the trust, it is a legal entity, a registered company, so the likelihood of any shenanigans are slim.

| I'm with JGB on this, the Dr needs to take a serious step back and let Tim sort this alleged mess out with the Dr taking action where recommended. Very sad to see my club of 35 years suffering. Bring back Steve Gibson.

| Well done Solly! I was beginning to think I was out of sink, on the way back from Leeds I said to my daughter I would rather watch us play in the Championship then watch this circus. Those still peddling MK need to take their head out of the sand, clearly everyone cannot be wrong?

| JGR if Tim Sheens announces that he's staying for a full season rather than just the 12 weeks we know about (3 gone already) I'll happily join you in believing in the Tooth Fairy, Father Christmas and Dr K's skills in managing a rugby club.

No issue with FR at all, just wasn’t sure what was happening with it as it’s been very quiet on that front ever since Koukash took over.
This isnt me pushing an agenda for a supporters owned club, as at the moment I have little knowledge of whether it’s even a viable option but more understanding that should Koukash up and leave and there are no other multi-millionaires wanting to pump their cash in what possible options there could be us.
I am sure given recent events and the general feeling amongst fans at the moment, the interest would be there for a meeting to be held. We could even ask for a representative of Rochdale Hornets to attend to give us a brief overview of how they went around their own supporters takeover of the club.

| Sorry JGR, I didn't mean to imply [iyou[/i had an issue with FR, I meant any supporter in general.
Forever Reds is affiliated with Supporters Direct, who have helped numerous football and rugby league clubs acquire shareholdings or even the entire club, including Rochdale Hornets. So they are well placed to move on this if required.
Personally, I would only look to step in if Koukash left the club and there was no buyer showing interest.

I've heard a few people repeat this 'Those sticking-up for MK' or similar, yet I've not come across anyone openly sticking-up for him at all recently. The only thing close is people saying 'we wouldn't have a Club without MK' but it's always followed by a big BUT after it.
I suspect that it's actually just fans fracturing on more bad news tbh. The fans of Salford are ALL fed-up with MK and the way the Club is being run atm. At least all those I talk to and quite a lot I don't.

32990_1435324474.jpg First accept sadness. Realise that without losing 70% of the time, winning wouldn't be such a relief.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_32990.jpg |

| I honestly believe when Koukash took over he thought he could just throw big money at it, kick people's s, fire some out of the door and the team would be regularly playing in front of 10K home attendances and frequenting Old Trafford every October.
The reality is professional sports club's are rife with odd ball personalities, greed, ego's and all kinds of $hite that really takes some quality management. MK's biggest mistakes was appointing an inexperienced coach in Harris and getting overly involved in all kinds of things he shouldn't have. An owner of a club should be seen but not heard.
It does seem with the appointment of Tim Sheen's that the penny has eventually dropped but at what cost to Koukash himself and the club's Superleague future?
