| I heard he has agreed, maybe not signed as yet, a new 2 yr contract with the Warriors & could play at 6 next season.

| NZ Warriors will be worth the premier sports subscription alone with Locke, Johnson, Hurrell, Vatavei and Tomkins in their back line.
As for the above story. More lazy journalism from the Evening News. What ever happened to factual reporting from the local media. If you want to read about random speculation you can buy the Sun. I am not interested in who an ill informed reporter thinks we could sign. The Evening News would be better advised to promote our games and current players more. More column inches to local clubs and also promoting local amateur clubs would only take up a few columns a week. Friday s should include a few sentences about Eccles and Folly Lane. Instead we get rumours that you could hear in the pub at last orders.

| More chance of signing John Locke from Lost, just because Salford have money to burn doesn't mean class players are going to come over from the NRL. I think the Doctor thinks he's playing fantasy football sometimes.

And would you care to point out anywhere where the Doc has mentioned signing Kevin Locke?

Signing Locke is a rumour from on here. My second point was referring to bids for Tomkins and SBW, transfers that are never going to happen, which is why the Doc is living in a dream world.

Thanks for your contribution. I was expecting a 100% signing of these two stars and never considered them to be pie in the sky signings. Maybe I should have seen it earlier when I passed the Dr in the corridor wearing cricket pads with a cake stand sellotaped to his head. Even so, you've come on here and broke my heart. Your single sentence has been like an arrow fired from close range.
With your superior insight into reality I suppose I'll go on Stockport County's forum and let them all know that signing Wayne Rooney is unrealistic. It's going to upset a few people I can tell you...

No, your second point was referring to Kevin Locke and Koukash playing "fantasy rugby league" but because Iain made you look foolish you've back tracked.
Please provide us with factual information detailing Salford's bid to sign SBW and by that I mean direct quotes from Dr Koukash himself and not paper talk. However before you make yourself look foolish (again) I'll provide you with the following which suggests otherwise (warning: contains actual quotes from Dr Koukash himself) www.wigantoday.net/sport/wigan-w ... -1-5953514

He denied any approach Sonny Bill Williams in the media last week (whether that's true or not, I don't know). The approach for Tomkins was probably more of a statement of intent.
People seem to believe every single rumour they read about every player we're linked with and strangely seem to be attributing the rumours to Koukash rather than whoever is reporting them.

the Tomkins bid was a PR coup , every red top / broadsheet / BBC reported it pretty much everyone else , especially Lenegan, got wound up by it .. the only time its mentioned on this forum is when trolls visit & talk about it . 6 months later ...

Wouldn't say living in Rainford was living in a dream world, more like living at world's end that close to Saint Helens.
