In the same way , but not from the depths of despair , we felt the same with Adam Pearson at Hull FC. He can't own the stadium but he is trying to re negotiate the rent . He has revamped the Club from top to bottom and that is an understatement. You Reds fans must feel great , I know we did.

I agree. Dr Koukash comes over as a real genuine bloke but also clearly one with a steely determination. Now Salford fans need to show him some patience. The future looks very bright but don't be surprised if it takes five years or more to build the right combination of playing squad and coach to actually deliver a major trophy. By example, Wire's 'revival' began in 2004 but we're only now being accepted as a 'top' team.

Certainly a really positive interview on Radio Manchester last night. It's a breath of fresh air to think that we have a genuine professional at the helm recruiting proven talent to run the club.

I just have this sinking feeling that 3 games in, if we've been pasted by Wigan, Catalan and Leeds then the same old suspects will be booing the team and starting a Koukash out chant - I hope I'm proved wrong.

I'm half expecting us to get booed off tonight should Wigan run up a big score!

I have to admit that I have woken up this morning and the enormity of yesterdays announcement has just hit and it brought a tear to my eye.
I've watched Salford since before I was able to walk and I think like everyone I miss the Willows and the memories that will always linger on that very special piece of land.

BUT.

We have moved to a fantastic new stadium and we now have the fantastic new visionary owner to help us get a team that befits not only said fantastic new stadium but wears the Salford shirt with pride. For me we Doctor Koukash is going to revolutionise not only our club but you get the distinct feeling he is looking at the broader picture of RL as a whole in this country.

As it stands now I doubt any of us will ever be able to thank the Doc enough for having the faith to buy into this wonderful club but I know when he walks out onto the pitch tonight it will hit him head on that he has helped bring some cheer into a massive number of peoples lives.

I hope his passion and drive will be reflected on the pitch by the players tonight.
With such a large attendance expected I think it's important to put up a good performance for the fans that might be at the Stadium for the first time. If we get thumped they might not come back again.

What kind of attendance do you predict considering all the recent publicity? I think Wigan support could help swell the gate too considering it's the first game of the year.

Well the seating tickets were sold out yesterday when I went down to buy my ticket. Wigan will most definitely bring a bumper crowd too.

Any lapsed Salford fans should get down there tonight and show their support for this 'revolution'. With enough of a wave of enthusiasm to ride on, the team could upset a new-look Wigan who are bereft of most of their past influential players. This is a big night for Salford and EVERYONE should want to be there so they can say they were part of it.

I listened to the Reds Press Conference & the Show with Jack Dearden. He'll be the darling of he RL press with his headline grabbing statements and he's certainly setting the bar high. I winced a couple of times with his bravado TBH.

but then maybe that's beacause us Salford fans are conditioned to except less , and I'm uneasy, Marwan isn't so maybe that's my problem.
