| Rather have littler in the second row than sibbitt any time, after 5 minutes sibbitt is bent over hands on knees puffing and blowing hiding in the centres where stu will still be running it in hard and strong after 80 minutes his work rate is second to none

| I can understand both points of view with regards to Stu, in my honest opinion I think the club need to move forward and if they're not offering Alker a playing contract for next season then I can't see them offering Littler one either. As already mentioned he has played really really well over the last few weeks (maybe he's playing for a contract who knows?), saying this it wouldn't be the end of the world if we did decide to keep him on for one more season as a squad player. Mind you people have been saying this for years and years yet somehow he always manages to get himself a starting spot week in week out mainly due to his never say die attitude and the lack of injuries he's had. My heart says yes keep him, but my head says no we need to move forward with a new breed of quality players if the club is going to improve.

| I see nothing wrong with giving Stu another year as a squad player. Someone to fill injury gaps. Whether he would be interested in a step down in role is another matter.

I think he'd jump at the chance if he was offered any sort of contract, I'm sure he'd rather be a bit part player here than take the step down to the Championship.

Surprisingly correct if you look at this seasons stats Stuart are better ( including 6 offloads !). 15 mistakes / 19 Penalties also in 18 appearances .
Basically in with a shout next season aslong as his contract is not excessive

| [iI fully expected Salford City Reds to keep hold of Stuart Littler for one more season.
It would be great to see Stuart staying on board.[/i

| It would be great for Stu to get 1 more year and he can realise all the years of promises and walk out at the new stadium!

Spot on there mate. Sibbitt has pretty much under achieved wherever he has played, and Stew has been pretty solid: (and improved his discipline). His work rate is first class. I would keep him.

Injuries have done Sibbit. However, he’s still one of the best line-breaking forwards I’ve seen in a Salford shirt (there haven’t been many).

| Looking at the stats its fair to say you get more out of Littler than you do Sibbit and if it was a choice to keep eather id have to say Littler gets my vote.

Don't they say that every year in the same way that we used to say Adrian Morley was going to sign for us ?
if it happens then i'm sure he will get a great ovation come the end of the season.
Two great moments I will remember from Stuart was the try he scored way back in 2000/2001 season? away at Huddersfield off a Simon Svabic pass and the last Try against Leigh in the National League Final in 2003 smiling at all the Leythers holding ' Horse pictures ' ...

I know that he has been plagued by injury even as far back as his NRL days, but he really hasn't look fit for a long time. He had a bit of pace though.
Didn't he have a serious shoulder injury? If a shoulder is involved, it is never a good sign for any RL player, and especially a forward.
I must admit you've got me thinking about "line breaking forwards" and I see what you mean in terms of Salford players past and present. Ian Blease, Shakers,...........and let's not forget Steve (how's Leigh gone on?) Herbert.

| I would give Littler a new contract in a heartbeat.
Great squad player and has been one of our better players over the last few months (since his move into the back row).

I think Coley is the last decent liner braker we've had, when he ran outwide at pace he was unstoppable, pity it was only when playing to impress for a new contract. Can't we get him back on a week by week thing and then he'd be a world beater.
FWIW i'd bin Fitzy and Littler if (and it's a big IF) we have replacements lined up, I have to be honest i've never been a Fitzy fan sure he's a decent fullback but for me there's always been something missing (I'm hoping we get General Patton or move Ratchford to FB) and I've often thought we should have made Littler captain last season when we made the mistake of putting Parker in charge as he as the equal respect of Alker and is a little less hot headed, that aside i'd let him go to continue a stallar playing career knowing he is a Salford legend.
