| Get rid or save your pennies your saving for the new ground and put them in a building society as a nest egg for the long stay in the national leagues.
Yes, our ground is worse than yours, we are in the middle of a cluster of local SL clubs, but can you deny what we bring to SL?
You need to build a similar case because we all know the wolves at at the door, so to speak.

| Salford have massive potential but need the stadium so very very badly!! There is so much competition in Manchester for sports fans - City, Utd, Bury, Stockport, etc.... then there is Sale Sharks, the Cricket, Giants Basketball, Phoenix Ice Hockey, and Northern Thunder Netball too.
The new stadium will open them up to a new audience who simply wont be attracted to The Willows. I've learned all this since Ive started working in Manchester.
As much as Salford fans might disagree I think a groundshare option at Barton with the Reds and the Sharks would be a really positive thing. Dare I say it a joint rugby partnership like at Leeds to create a super "rugby" club that can really hammer the MASSIVE potential in Salford/Manchester.
Super League has to have a presence in the largest city in the north, but due to competition it has to be ultra well run and competitive.

And Grand Final winners Barrow for a much talked about Cumbrian license. Tradition and expansion at the same time

And do they all go??
Don't underestimate the amount of potential new fans in Manchester. Just City and United are SO big they dominate so much, but there are so many people who are interested and just need the right motivation to go. A poor ground and a team that is getting beat all the time sadly doesnt help. I just feel Salford are like Warrington at Wilderspool and Hull FC at The Boulevard. The new ground would really spark them off.

| dont talk wet cheshire tiger, ground share with sale sharks???
more chance of us ground sharing swinetown , as allready said on here the bigwigs in charge of both clubs have talked about this and its a no go,
look what sale have done to stockport county and its ground, plus they might even be relegated this season anyway,
as for our new stadium, it mite come to late to save us to be honest.we could finish up like widnes halifax leigh all with good stadiums and not in superleague.

| Here's to hoping Barton comes to fruition, the same feelings are extended to J32.
As if have said all the clubs (WT, CT & SR & their fans) have enough to worry about, nobody has time or ground really to be mudslinging, lets wait until some soil is turned!!!!!

I understand mate, I do. But the plan A doesnt appear to be working too well does it? A dramatic rethink might be required to prevent the outcome you fear?
The pitch at Edgeley Park is a mess cos both teams play at the same time of year. Sharing operation costs has to be a smarter move and most new stadiums are shared with two clubs. Leeds have shown that there is little crossover in players or fans but there are many mutual benefits.
As someone who is not a fan of either, yet works in the city and has a close eye on rugby development in the city, it makes a great deal of sense. Perhaps its a no go with the clubs, but having been to both recently they could do worse than a rethink.

Yep! Was there last week. The pitch was awful, truly terrible. But the team on it has won the comp 3 times in a row and there were nearly 16000 in the stands. Leeds' fortunes dramatically turned when they changed the way they operated as a business. Forming Leeds Rugby Ltd was the plan and its worked.
Im simply suggesting its a great blueprint to work from. Leeds and Manchester share many differences but both are massive cities and have many similarities, they could do a lot worse.
"Yawnion" maybe the enemy to many league fans, but to novices and new fans, who know little of that, its RUGBY, with an oval ball.

| Absolute dog sh*te, like men against boys. No heart, no pride, I'm stunned by just how bad we were. We look like a team of backs with the exception of cashmere. Parkers never a prop he'd be better as a second row. Just gutted.....
Still, it can't get much worse, only way is up and all that
