I think Rooney's injury which was quite serious and not a playing one means his body may not be up to the rigours of Super League,

he all but died on the operating table. I think he's a risk too far personally.

not denying he's a good player and I can't argue about last night as I didn't see him. Just think there is a health issue that I would rather not take a risk on at this moment.

Nothing wrong with his health, he went in for a routine operation to clean his cartelige and his heart stopped when the anaesthetic kicked in, the doctors said he was actually too fit and instead of just slowing down his heart actually stopped! He had tests done on his heart and everything came back kosher. Hope that clears things up.
