There is no need for 'level headed sanity' to the majority of Leigh fans. So a 'handful' of Leythers on the internet message boards think that we are invincible. With the players Salford have 'assembled' if you lose to us, then I will be REALLY surprised. I am confident we can give Salford a game, but if one side is 'gonna win easily' then I doubt it will be us. Depends which Salford turns up on the day, but if you can go to Catalans and score 40 points, you ain't too shabby with 'ball in hand'. I just hope we give a good account of ourselves, anything else is a bonus.

budgie, your post is not what most Salford fans want to read. they want to see their their win at leigh as a fantastic result, but with the money they have been given to spend their 2014 results were pathetic. I imagine team spirit at Salford is crap, but Marwan's cash has given them some very good mercenaries, sorry I mean players. they will beat us and they should anyway

A fair bit of good banter on these pages.. Heres my thoughts on the many points :-

Salford will finish top 8 maybe top 6 this year. They will win 2 of their 4 matches leading up to our game.. does it mean they are better than us, no, does he mean they will beat us no.

Salford like most teams in SL struggle away from home.

As for us 'only' sweeping away PT opposition, we've played 5 league games and beat 2 FT opposition in that list. PLayed one game in CC and beat FT opposition, oh and beat the full strength wigan team in pre season. So a reality check needed for John Gilbert. I hope your 2nd choice coach rates us as highly because you will get beat then.

Should be a great crowd and despite the buttons compensation from SKY i think a big crowd will be in attendance.
