Quote Prestwich Red="Prestwich Red"What a lot of people are still waiting for is a answer to the question of where this money is going, this has still not been given.'"
Regarding the foundation fund, it could be anything. Anything that helps the current company afloat. Does that include paying the petition amount
if it came to it? Probably. It's likely we are not going to know in advance. This is where Salford fans are split: between those who are willing to clear a portion of the club's liabilities if there's a chance of survival and those who are sceptical that the money will go to waste regardless. A leap of faith.
As I wrote earlier, you have four options:
1. Donate what ever you can to the Salford City Reds Foundation Appeal. Bear in mind, this money may go towards saving the club. It may also go down a black hole.
2. Join FR, donate to FR and protest at a later date. This money is protected and you have a say where it is spent.
3. Modest donation between the two: attend a fundraising event, join FR, go to the Swinton match, chuck a few coins in any collections.
4. Do nothing.
I'm doing number 3. Either way, Forever Reds is going to have a big say in both scenarios: performing CPR to this terminal club and creating a new one if it comes to it.
Quote Prestwich Red="Prestwich Red"I would rather start up the club from scratch as I have said previously than pay off two players one of whom did not fulfill the terms of his contract anyway.'"
Bear in mind, this isn't a piece of cake. And if it's left to us, we'd be behind Swinton for a considerable amount of time. I'd help make it happen but many others wouldn't — including some on here who flippantly say they would.
