| Quote Hillbilly_Red="Hillbilly_Red"AFAIK the only posible match in 10+ years - both home and away - I have missed v Castleford is 2002 ... I cannot remember going to the Jungle that year.
However I cannot remember ever in this century coming away from a Cas game feeling owt but bitter (and plenty was supped afterwards).
Why?

We never seem to play to our full potential against Cas. Salford RL have this innate ability to induce bitterness in their own fans.

| Not the best game in the world yesterday. Its the same old story when we play these so called lesser teams. I thought individually we did ok but our sliding defence lost it for us and. What does me head in is when we play Cas, Crusdaders etc at home we get out enthused and that seems to be the difference. Theres nothing special about Cas, apart from Rangi Chase, they were just better prepared and more up for it. A better performance in the second half though[no boos helped

| I witness some special play yesterday once we'd started playing. Holdworth's move to set up Sibbit Was very Neil Baker-esc and Broughton's scorching try (Which was a proper wingers try) was something I don't think I've seen since Offiah against Hull FC a long while back. Stuart Littler was immense and was M.O.M by some distance (for us anyway).
But why oh why do we have to go behind every week before we start playing, only twice this season have we been behind at half time and gone on to win and only once have we lost a game when we've been in front at the break!
Salford 6 Castleford 22 – Lost 22-28
Hull FC 18 Salford 12 – Lost 34-12
Salford 6 Warrington 16 – Lost 10-27
Catalans 2 Salford 12 – Won 14-22
Salford 22 St Helens 18 – Won 42-34
Salford 12 Warrington 38 – Lost 16-68
Castleford 10 Salford 6 – Lost 30-12
Salford 4 Wigan 6 – Lost 4-18
Salford 16 Huddersfield 0 – Won 30-18
Warrington 10 Salford 2 – Lost 32-2
Salford 12 Hull FC 16 – Won 27-20
Wakefield 28 Salford 0 – Lost 36-6
Harlequins 12 – Salford 4 – Won 22-26
Salford 12 Catalans 8 – Lost 12-24
Salford 0 – Bradford 4 – Lost 0-7
Leeds 6 Salford 4 – Lost 22-10
Salford 12 Crusaders 14 – Lost 16-36
Hull KR 18 Salford 6 – Lost 30-12

No, imo its alot better playing on a Sunday for a number of reasons, Better quality rugby in the summer with the sun. Fans from yorkshire find it hard getting there on a Friday night, plus alot of our fans work late on a Friday too. I also think the atmosphere will be alot better because half the people are bladdered on a Friday and are more interested in slagging the players off rather than getting behind the team.
Cant really explain why it was so low yesterday though. Possibly because it was fathers day, as I only just made it myself

| thought the few muppets that booed mcrae off at half time need to take there head for a wobble! He wasn't the one missing the tackles in the middle of the park, and the exploited our right side in the first half coz our sliding defence was terrible! What was said at half time seemed to work, and as i was saying to a bloke i was standing next too, after we scored first in the second half, they looked knackered! They were there for the taking and guess what, we get back on level terms and take our foot off the gas. Whether that was down to J.Smith coming off and alker coming back on again i dont know!
