He is nowadays completely associated with RU.
It's all going pear shaped folks, to the point of being laughable.
Why am I not surprised

| Quote: KMT "Hilarity prevails on this site it really does!! This whole article is re god damm diculous!!Why the hell are you all being so negative, would you rather stay in our old stadium that falling apart and costing the club god knows how much to maintain or move to a new one. Yet we somehow find a way to whinge about what colour the bloody seats are, you sound like women complaining about the colour of curtains!! get a grip!!
I personally can't wait for the new season, I wanna see the new signings and wanna see our new stadium and figure out my seat. So enough of the negative waves baby!!'"
With the greatest respect... (and I mean that as your post suggests you are clearly a loyal supporter) You clearly don't see the point why this is such a big issue.
As somebody rightly pointed out earlier... This is as much about how little say we have in this stadium. When ideas were first cast about moving to a new ground... this was going to be 'our' ground. Now... we don't seem to have any say at all in it. This could cause some serious problems in the future for us... and eventually push us down the pecking order in our new ground.
This stadium is our only option as a club... it has to work... in order for this to work for us... we have to have an amount of control in what goes on in this ground. Does this suggest we have that control ? Do you think if we did we would have a completely red stadium... I think we would... the fact that we don't suggests somebody is either not speaking up... or somebody isn't prepared to listen.
The council are pretty much refusing to recognise this as Salford City Reds new stadium... and continue to bang on about it belonging to them. We have to face it... we are just tenants here... with little or no say in the matter.

| On the naming of stands topic we could have the following.
The Jesus stand referring to Christopher Eccleston in second coming or Robert Powell for Jesus of Nazareth (and he could double as the steward if there is 39 steps).
The Emmeline Pankhurst ladies lavs.
John Cooper Clarke as the official club scribe.
Ryan Giggs to stay at home and look after supporters wives when attending games.
Hazel Blears could run a scrambled egg consession.
Harold Riley could knock up some flyers with pretty pictures.
The Edd the Duck and Andy Crane childrens creche.
And maybe a super group of Russell Watson, Graham Nash, Elkie Brookes, Mark E Smith and that good looking bird from the Ting Tings to serenade us as we queue in the massively improved crowds to get in.

Unbelievable. His 'invention' of the game is totally untrue and was done by people within Rugby Union to reclaim it as an upper class game. Why would we want to name a stand, at a ground that was only ever built to play Rugby League at, after him?
We may as well name a stand after a famous Salfordian footballer in that case. They'd have a closer link to Salford Rugby League than William Webb Ellis. If this is true I certainly won't be sitting in that stand and I'd resent going to the ground itself.

I posted on here quite a few months back when the whole ground share issue first raised it's head and was shouted down! I said then that Brian kennedy was a parasite and not to be trusted! He wormed his way in to Stockport County when the County fans thought that a bit of extra dough would help their club. He took over and now he looks set to drop them like a stone and leave them in a terrible state.
It's blue seats today...how long before we get the "Oh well we've got Leicester this wekend while you've only got Catalan coming, you'll have to move your fixture to suit us!" Mark my words this man must be stopped before he does to salford what he did to County.
'"
Totally agree. Also quite revealing that Wilky used to openly state he wouldn't go near Kennedy in regards to any ground share or any other business deal. Now it would appear he has no choice.

How is running an organisation with a modicum of professionalism risking bankruptcy?

| I can't be d trawling through the pages on this thread. But the way I see it is obviously Peel don't have the confidence that we'll be the number one team in there for too long and IMO they're right. I'll give us this 3 years before we're gone never to play super league again unless things on and off the field change dramatically. By putting the blue seats in they're just saving themselves a little less work in the long run when all of them will be blue. Lets just enjoy what time we have left!

Less professional than say... Leigh? Or Swinton? We have a Superleague franchise, don't we?

So we're setting the bar with those two clubs now? Is that how low we have sunk? You should have thrown in Chorley Borough and Huyton as well.

Others here mentioned those sides berfore I did.
We've sunk/climbed to a grade C superleague licence (I think). Or 10th/11th best in the country if league results are your barometer.

| Sat at work on a black chair: the firm will not buy a red chair even tho' I am the only red in a team of blues. I want another seat, I find another job
The new stadium is the place of work for Salford RLFC. They negotiate with the owning company on certain matters but as this place, like so many in entertainment, has to fix its name, its colour scheme, its pricing, and when it will be available, we will be stuck with decisions the company makes. We can look for somewhere else if we do not like this. We can try to rent a different stadium but Old Trafford may be a bit ambitious and Leigh already booked.
FFS get a grip: "we don't seem to have any say at all in it": correct
"This stadium is our only option as a club... it has to work... in order for this to work for us... we have to have an amount of control in what goes on in this ground." Then the club buys it or buys into it as leading/major shareholder.
We'll have a St Paul's camp outside Peel Holding's HQ next!
