Yes theo is an amazing talent with very high potential (id hope to captain us and france one day) but some of the things people are saying are stupid. I agree we should play him at his natural role and feed him into it now we have mk and the squad we do, but as far as hes not mentally/physically strong enough are you people ludicrous ? Im sorry but if you were at the hull challenge cup game and your saying hes not physical enough or he needs to bulk up your just plain right ignorant. As far as i can remember it was theos try against 3 centres 5 times the size of him that got us back in the game. And as for hes not mentally ready are you f**king joking theo has been here since he was 15, he gave up his home and his life as he knew it his family everything to come to us, and i think its about time people give him something back. The lad has been here since he was 15 and is probably more of a man than any of you 30+ aged men sat behind your keyboards saying hes not mentally or physically there, im sorry but i have seen this amazing talent give everything to the red shirt , take an absolute beeting in games yet hes there week in week out so who are you to question his mental/physical capability? Theo has created and scored some of our finest trys for many a season so dont start doubting him now and putting negativity on him. We are not going to be able to be the likes of wigan leeds and saints if we dont start producing our own talent pool and giving them there chance, i didnt see shaun wayne waiting for his lads to turn 22+ without playing them. As for letting him play in the championship your just daft after coming from club leval to international level myself at a young age the worst thing you could do is play him against weeker opposition, how is he meant to get the standard of sl when hes playing championship?? small saying goes you need to play better teams to beat them. Sick of so many idiots on here.'"
WOW, your not one of the family members who was on the clubs payroll to put him up are you??
Would give a constructive reply but reading through that post it seems you won't be able to debate rational opinions. Why people are so sensitive over Theo is beyond me and kids with equal and more ability are allowed to be forgotten,

| Let's not be too harsh, Theo has more talent than anything that has come through our academy system in a long time. He will turn into a great player, but at 19 he needs nurturing and easing into Super League not playing too many games on the bounce at hooker (where don't get me wrong he's more than capable of playing).
I trust Sean Long to look after Theo, take him under his wing and help develop him into the talent we all know he's capable of being.

Ratchford and Turner came through the system, although I should discount Turner but Ratchford had a better game than Theo, no sing as dance was made about him and eventually he left due to be being out of position. Sneyd the same, IMO opinion offers more than Theo but he was over looked yet offers more than Theo and now ripping it up at Castleford. What's happened to Evalds? Looked a very promosing talent but can't even get a look in at the moment.
People saying Theo should not be dropped to Championship, well that's a very narrow and short minded view. Less we forget the 2 Batey boys who once mixed at SL level, came back couple years later and improved dramatically. What about Hardaker or Walmsely?? At Saints. Obviously one to point out at the minute is Brieley at Leigh, out of his depth at Cas and now is being allowed to flourish in the Championship and forging himself as a top prospect for SL clubs to look at.
Just think some of our fans are naive, blowing there top for dropping a kid who is not close to week in week out SL rugby. Does he have potential? Obviously, but give him a chance to grow and develop and IMO that should done in Championship. Last say on it from myself, I eventually see Theo being an inpact player, don't think he has the skill set to play at level we now aspiring to, could be used like Burrow at Leeds, coming on running at tired forwards, although I would gladly be proved wrong.

I'm sure the experiance would be beneficial to the kid if he wasn't getting SL game time but what happens if Chase, Smith or even Lee are injured or suspended? With regard to Syeyd I don't think he was overlooked. It seems Cas requested the loan as part of the deal for Chase so Noble was obviously left with Fages and thought he was good enough cover. (Which I believe he is considering he's an up and coming talent with a couple of International caps)
Perhaps the plan is get Sneyd back from Cas and then try to get Theo fixed up with a similar loan experiance at either one of the relegated SL clubs or top championships clubs for 2015?

| No sing and dance was made out of Ratchford? That's a blatant lie, the vast majority of Salford fans were gutted fan Stefan left to join to Warrington. Many regarded him the better of the two between him and Myler.
I disagree Ratchford had a better game than Theo, both offer different styles. He also didn't leave because he was played out of position, he left because Warringtkn were challenging for major honours and offered him a pay rise. He's played more games at centre or full back for them than he has stand-off (ie his natural preferred position).
Sneyd needed to go out on loan. I think his performances this season has shown that, in some ways he's the lucky one out of the two because he's getting regular game time as we couldn't afford to loan both Sneyd and Theo out. Sneyd will come back a much better player than the one who left us.
I agree some of our fans are embarrassing re Theo being dropped, but you can't criticise the kids performances and talent in the same way.

| The comparison with Rathchford and Myler is interesting.
They didn't go out on loan and it's worked well for them.
Ratchford has excelled.
Myler looked a world beater at Theo's age but has probably disappointed a bit.
Theo is certainly good enough to be in the squad and I think he's had plenty of game time. He's played well.
At the moment,we are more focused on winning and moving up the table, than simply building for the future. Rightly so.
It's quite simple. Is Theo more effective than Smith ?
If not, is he a better bet than Lee or Tomkins ?
What with Smiths disappointing form and Tomkins being on loan,he will be back in the 19 before long

| Would we say Ratchford has excelled? He's been shifted from pillar to post during his time at Warrington. This year was suppose to be his big breakthrough season with Briers retiring but it hasn't panned out that way yet.
With Myler, Ratchford and O'Brien in the halves it will be interesting to see if Warringnton have a disappointing season by their standards if they preserve with those 3 or go for some experience.

There's a big thread about this on the Warrington forum. Now Lee Briers has gone, they're starting to realise that Richie Myler is the new Danny McGuire, not the new Alex Murphy. Added to that, Tony Smith has continued Shaun McRae's sterling effort in converting Stefan Ratchford from a potential international stand-off into a utility back, and, it appears, he's now playing stand off just like a utility back. It's all left Warrington lacking in the creativity department, and they've started up a rumour that they're going to make a bid for Michael Dobson.

| Seems a right can of worms has been opened by leaving Theo out! I rate Theo - highly, he has real potential and we have seen his versatility already. That said, Harris is on a hiding to nothing. He has some big decisions to make in what could be a short stint if what happened to Noble is anything to go by. He has to make the right decisions to get us in the top eight and if that means using Theo in the right position in the right fixture then so be it. Nobody has the divine right to be in the 17 and he will get game time - we need to respect Harris's decisions.

Bear in mind many on here will never have experienced a time in which the team didn't pretty much pick itself from a threadbare squad. Debates about who should be in and who should be out might become the norm from here on in.

We used to have this discussion when Stef played for us

JGR Wire fans know they have a have non fed spot and might look at the impact of Luke Walsh on Saints , they tried lomax - Gaskell , and now have reverted to Anzac or experienced - Walsh Hohaia Wilkin. However Tony smith doesn't look like a coach prone to changing tack even if his team aren't having a great start by their standards.
