| If I were a Salford fan I'd be worried.
Koukash is obviously passionate and is very driven. However, the way he is starting to go about his business re Noble and his latest comments, it makes me wonder how long it'll be before he walks.
He's right in what he's saying about performances but you can put TOO MUCH pressure on the team that all they'll do is panic. We started badly (again) this season but have vastly improved in the last month. Maybe Marwan ought NOT to get too involved in the playing side......? And yes I know its his money but.....

Marwan Koukash, the owner of Super League club Salford, will step up his search for a director of football following their Challenge Cup exit.
Koukash, a wealthy racehorse owner who has poured thousands of pounds into the club, said he reached the "lowest point of my sporting life" after Salford's 30-20 home defeat by Widnes.
He had claimed on Twitter after the game that he had "done all he could to bring success to Salford", but insisted on Monday that he would not stop trying. Koukash said: "If I didn't have the determination to succeed, I would have walked away yesterday. But I am so determined to make it work and no one is going to stop me. Nothing is going to hinder our progress. Mistakes made before will not be made again."
Koukash, who set his expensively rebuilt side the target of a top-six finish at the start of the season, sacked head coach Brian Noble after they won just three of their first seven matches and replaced him with Iestyn Harris. Noble has rejected the offer of an alternative role of director of football and Koukash will now turn his attention to Australia to fill the post.
"I don't think Brian will be taking the role on," Koukash said.
Koukash is also looking to make at least one overseas signing and is planning to fly down under next month for face-to-face talks.
He accepts Harris is starting from scratch, but insists a top-eight finish finish is still possible and has not ruled out a push for Old Trafford.
"I am not going to give up on this year," he added. "If we are in the top eight, I will make sure we have the extra armour to go to war with."

A tad melodramatic don't you think?
If that's the lowest point of his entire sporting life I hate to think how he'd have felt watching us ship 96 points at Bradford, then seeing Castleford run 70 odd past us at home!!!!
Sometimes saying nothing is the best thing to say.

I was there for both the said games and although I was only a kid I've never felt lower than yesterday, I was just so dejected for some reason, so can fully understand where he's coming from!!!
The next 3 games are huge!!

I must disagree. It was his statement and although all I know about his sporting interest was his first horse lost a race and since 2013 has been heavily involved in SRD I can understand the sentiment.
If,for example,he followed Liverpool FC when they won every season, and went to horse racing, and then to SRD then it would be perfectly understandable.
He has a justifiable right to be upset after paying for an all-expenses trip to South Africa for then then head coach, players and staff,to hear about how beneficial it all was only to see performances on a par with 2013 and contrast that with other multi-millionaire owners of rugby clubs who have not taken that action or spent that amount of money and progress to the next round of the CC.
I think we should be grateful to lose in such a manner,at home,in front of a sp crowd, than play similarly on the open spaces of Wembley in front of a larger audience.
Clearly demonstrating he feels the disappointment just as much as the regular supporter is very welcome.
I don't think there is any danger of his heart ruling his head so he won't be too melodramatic.
He hasn't been outspoken to the same degree as 2 individuals at Bradford since Easter - but we can be certain the RFL won't be fining them - now that was melodramatic;certainly after they shipped some points.

I agree with you 100 per cent the chairman has been let down big time.

It's nice to see a Warrington fan that doesn't think he is one already.

Yup. You can tell he's not been around Salford too long if [ithat's[/i his low point. Little more than a fart on the Richter Scale of low points we've had over the past 30 years.

| I have regularly commented in favour of the Dr however if he carries on he is in danger of preventing the very thing he is trying to do.
It takes time to build a rugby club up to a level where they can challenge at the top. It was never going to happen this year, it likely won't next year or the year after. He claimed on twitter that he had "done all he could to bring success to Salford". The job has only just started. He needs to find some patience and self restraint, let his coaches get on with their job.
