| It boils down to only two sets of possibilities: experienced, know the game inside out, never made a mistake, can analyse and evaluate a playing style in micro seconds, always right:
either Davies and Hunter-Paul
or Hemmings and Stephenson

| Now parish has walked , the club now is in real turmoil. The tin of worms have now turned into a bucket of cobras. I feel the chairman now has to pull a rabbit out of the hat to come out of this with any credability.
Having time to reflect the past 36 hours i think an good quality proven coach really wouldnt want the role. Therefore i think the Salford job is split into 4 catagories.
1, a coach coming to the end of his career .(Noble,Kear,)
2,an upper coming young coach using it as a stepping stone,(Harris.)
3.Or an assistant already with the club (Vievers)
4,a coach whose skint and out of a job who needs a challenge.(B.Mclennan.)
Imo the latter would suit me hes a proven winner.aswell as striking up great team spirit within his surroundings.

| From MEN
Quote: "Assistant coach Phil Veivers is tipped to become the new head coach of the Salford City Reds following Matt Parish’s shock resignation - Senior players called for Veivers to be given the job but Parish was chosen'"
If Veivers wasn't the right man for the Job when Parish was hired , what makes him the correct choice now ? ( apart from the bleedin obvious - broke and no one else will work under Simms )
Is this a done deal ?
so are the club reverting to type without even looking to see what's out there?

Inspired choice , always dependable , and it's not like he's done anything irrational like walk out..

Do you possibly mean Brian Noble who was coach at Wigan and was caught on BBC camera with his head in his hands after Warrington defeated Wigan in a Challenge Cup semi-final ? The one who allowed Iafeta Paleaaesina to become overweight but who lost that considerable bulk when Michael Maguire arrived ?
The same Brian Noble who only lasted for one season at Crusaders - possibly because there were rumours that the RFL paid his salary and then they stopped the payments ? The one who was paid for a part-time position at Halifax this year but Halifax have preferred Karl Harrison for next season ?
I have been reading this forum and concluded that supporters considered the board not fit for purpose.
Interesting to watch developments...Just as it was to see the opinion of Wigan followers during his tenure there.

Shocker! Coach shows passion when team loses big game!
The Paleaaesina whose game relied on bulk and whose impact was destroyed by McGuire forcing him to shed the weight.
Let's ignore the fact that Noble said early in the season that it was a one year deal and speculate that the RFL had some reason to stop paying his wages!
Maybe it's Noble who's told Halifax that he doesn't want the Head Coach job at Halifax but then put in a good word for Harrison.

| John Kear may be the perfect fit for Salford, in a crisis the bloke is in a league of his own.
