| I have a couple of points to make on this.
1. This whole farce (as offiah ahs made it) just goes to show how the franchise system coupled with the salray cap is not working and never will. Salford are never going to have the amount of money to spend as others have and so will not be able to pay players as much as other clubs. Thus any promising young players we have will get poached by other clubs who can afford to offer them the earth. So what's changed? The only difference is that we won't go down this season. They'll wait until the next round of licences and then kick us out because we "have not offered anything to super league". The salary cap should be a flat figure applicable to all clubs instead of some clubs being allowed to spend more than others (and in some cases still go over it and get away with it). Until we have more equality all that will happen is the big clubs will get stronger and the smaller clubs will continue to struggle and super league will continue to be battled out etween the same old clubs nd the sport will die however hard they try to expand the game into other areas.
2. Offiah as someone has already mentioned is only acting like any other agent would. I agree. They are all scumbags who exploit players and clubs for their own gain. They hold clubs to ransome and talk b****ocks to press in order to line their own pockets. Get rid of all of the parasites as far as I am concerned.

This year the salary cap is a flat amount - the bit where you were limited in what you could spend was scapped so it is now a level playing field.
The reason we don't spend the full cap is simply that the club doesn't have the money - it's been argued at length on various other threads, but essentially JW and the other directors bail the club out every year with loans that stand no chance of ever being repaid - without that we'd be a part time club and no chance whatever of staying in SL
Must say it all looks a bit bleak at present

If that was the case, he would have re-signed for Widnes.
PS
I hope this isn't a sign of things to come, transfer 'bids' being conducted through the media. It really is quite unsavoury, although all the clubs have been dignified/silent, there has only been one entity that has been vocal in the media; Offiah.
I would imagine he will be as welcome as a fart in a lift at the Willows, regardless of what happens.

| So if its to be Warrington why not arrange a loan swap now with Monaghan as he will be miffed as well at the moment (even though it looked like he was going home).

Apologies I stand corrected. i was not aware of this. I stand by my comments regarding agents though.

I think it's essentially the stadium fiasco. Quite clearly the whole plan for SCR was based upon a new stadium, attracting greater income which would lead to a greater interest in the club, new investors and all round scope for improvement.
On that basis the Willows was sold last year and a lease-back deal apparently put in place - quite a good move, or [iwould have been[/i if the new stadium had actually materialised - realise some cash in, have a limited outlay based on the planned move - everyone's a winner - BUT no-one figured in the credit crunch and the near collaps of the banking industry etc etc - So now if you ask yourself what is the business plan, and where is our increase in gates & income going to come from I think answers are rather hard to see.
That's what looks bleak !!

And yet you've still won nowt for years. To be honest, coming from a Hull supporter, as decent as Myler is, he's horribly over hyped. I much prefer the look of stefan ratchford. Keep hold of him and your on to a winner.

Bad news.... guess who Adamson has signed as his agent.

| you go on about a new stadium bringing in new fans if these fans wanted to come and watch us it would not matter about the stadium. This will be the first of many players that will be poached from are team and as for us meeting a franchise for 2011 season is down the pan. I can not see us other than part time team and a club that will never go anywhere. as for martin offiah coming out with these selling coments what have the club done about showing they want to keep the player by offering a contract that in your opion we cant afford at the moment unless we get the stadium. There as been no one from the club and come out fighting and show a passion to keep myler what i mean is no one as really come out and said your the backbone of are future of are club and this is where we see him.

I disagree, the building of the KC attracted more home fans and away fans than the boulevard ever would. Its in a nicer area with better access. Your new stadium will add a few thousand on, no problem.
