A club that with only one song "bang bang bang........
Coley took a wage for a year from our club and just didn't turn up for most games, he caused disruption in the camp and was a catalast in our relegation, Wigan are cheats is a fact now lets look forward to next week and hopefully a fair ref, just hope Coley breaks a leg in training

| Frankly, I am tired of this self righteous cr@p bleated from Wigan. I will dislike anyone I choose to dislike, irrespective of this sanctimonious, politically correct, mumbo-jumbo they offer with their mock disgust and moral outrage.
He cheated a living out of our club when we were on the brink of possible extinction (Relegation, with the onset of the Franchise system) and he went to join a team which seems to revel in bending the rules. He did nothing for an entire season, other than play effectively against Wigan. He has no class and showed neither integrity, professionalism nor allegiance to the club paying his wages and that is an insult to each and every one of us. Korkidas, Hodgson, Haggerty, Dorn even Finnigan, at least continued to play with some measure of pride, despite impending relegation.
FWIW, I don't care for Coley or Robinson but I am not going to listen to the drivel spouted by Wigan 'supporters', of all people, about a situation they know little about other than their probable 'tapping up' of him. If they are too simple to understand how deep our feelings run against Coley; the lack of vocal passion they regularly exhibit is all the more explicable.
I didn't join in the chant but I would stand by everybody's right to. I don't like him and, as has been stated before, he could have been a legend for us if he had shown more grace in the manner of his season-long withdrawal of labour and subsequent departure.

| Quote: Elle Coco "So my formal complaint goes nowhere does it?
There are PLENTY of ways to give opposition players flack without having to wish them dead (joke or no joke).
Defending it shows you guys up. Well done to the supporters who are embarassed and critical of the chant - shame not enough of you take that stance.'"
It's not going nowhere.... I could have closed this post down and deleted it. I chose not to as I feel keeping it open and keeping the discussion ongoing would do more good. This makes people more aware and concious of it for next time.
My post was not justifying it... just explaining why the fans feel as they do.

| The time for bashing Coley has been and gone. The sort of abuse he cops now might have been more productive in 2007 (since he didn't respond to support or ignorance back then...) but a phrase about horses and stable doors come to mind now. All it does is motivate him to play better against us.
Quote: Young Danny "As for Coley, think the bloke is a complete C[size.[/sizeock, a few fans singing abusive songs is no reason to purposely provoke a large number of away fans, he knew it was tense cup game against a team who's fans dislike him to say the least, him pointing at his shirt etc could easily have caused problems, grow a pair of balls and take the abuse you are bound to recieve for behayving like a p[size.[/sizerick whilst you were at our club.'"
He's entitled to do what he did. If we can't accept players giving it back (within reasonable bounds) we shouldn't be dishing it out.

I particularly agree with these points.

| Quote: Alex BP' "Most people don't find it amusing, they find it offensive.
I still can't believe the amount of people trying to justify and play down chants/comments like that.'"
I've hard people singing "if you all hate scousers clap your hands" with pure venom. Including Wigan fans. I've heard Wigan fans, amongst others, come to the Willows and sing about "Salford Scum", "town full of druggies", "Salford twinned with Basra" and so on. Does that mean people actually meant all of that?
What about the widely sung "there's a Tavern in the town, and we're gonna burn it down..." Is anyone actually going to burn a pub down? No, they're not. And to suggest they actually would is ludicrous.
What about shooting red robins? I bet you've sung that at some point. Would you actually shoot a red robin? Or anyone/thing connecting with Hull KR? No, you wouldn't. And neither would anyone else who's ever sung it.
The whole idea of the "die die Coley" chant is to get a reaction. To get under his skin. To put him off his game and get him to snap. Unfortunately it's not worked and he's had two blinders against us. Next week we need to ignore him and get behind the team - that'd wind him up more than giving him attention.
It's a chant sung in the heat of the moment at a sporting event. If anyone actually takes it seriously then they need their head testing. Still, it's no surprise that it's Wigan fans getting irate about it. After all, they're the greatest in RL and would never sing anything hate-filled about anyone.
Although, admittedly, there were better songs that could've been used than that. "Great Britain's Waterboy", as mentioned, was one. Would've been a lot funnier, but never mind.

Romain Navarrete: “I’m very happy to have signed for Wigan Warriors. As soon I knew that Wigan were interested, they were the only team that I wanted to sign for. To me, Wigan is the biggest Club in Rugby League and it will be an honour to pull on the famous Cherry-and-White jersey next year. I look forward to working with Shaun Wane and the players at Wigan.”:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10172.jpg |

| In no way am i defending this chant, I dont' like -ve chants at rugby and only join in with the +ve ones. However i though i'd jsut point out all the RL fans in Hull that sing about training their kids tho shoot FC/KR (depending of which side you come from) every week. Are we sugesting that any chants sugesting violence to someone else should be banned? I personaly would be ok with that but i dont' think most RL fans would be and i am well aware that jsut because i don't chose to join in doesn't mean their wrong!

| I wish the sort of fans that make these chants spent even a portion of that energy trying to help our team.
Did the chant wind Coley up? did it impact on his game? No it probably helps him play, as I said on another post he will have about 4 good games. 2 of those against us.
He left us a season and half ago time to let it go guys.
