Obviously, we would be paying a much smaller fee to sign him back. When we sold him he was the reigning MOS and had been one of the best half backs in SL for a good couple of years before that. Now he's had a couple of mediocre seasons and hasn't shown anywhere near the consistency of form that he did at Cas.
However, I imagine it will very much depend on if another club is willing to pay a bigger fee. You would hope Rangi has learned that money isn't everything.
We would also have to get a visa.

In seriousness, I'm not sure where Rangi thinks he is going from here. I doubt any of the top teams are going to be queuing up now he has tried to engineer a move away from two clubs, and also doubt anyone will be willing to pay the salary he currently earns.

I believe the sale was agreed during the season when Rangi was MoS (before the 2012 winner was announced), but I might be wrong.
My point is he has shown nowhere near the form during his time at Salford than he did at Cas, and will therefore be of less monetary value.

So we signed him 18 months before he arrived now? I know it was a badly kept secret for a long time but that's pushing it.

Even if we stay up, Dr K. stays, quietens down and leaves the rugby matters to people that know better it's going to be a long uphill battle. With recent & ongoing events surely there isn't going to be much interest in coming to Salford. Now more than ever the only kind of player we're going to be able to attract is the typical 'mercenary' - only in it for the money - we don't seem to have any other selling points.

...And what kind of player who's only in it for the money will want to play for a club quickly building a reputation, rightly or wrongly, for not paying players? Maybe the Doc will have to start paying players a years salary up front just to convince them to sign...Yeah, right.

And yes, I'm pretty disillusioned with the club lately.

If sheens stays I don't think that will he a huge problem.
Just got to get through this season, stay up and start again. We'll probably need to go backwards before we go forwards, but i don't think there is a better person to oversee that than Tim sheens.

2 big ifs, mk staying out of the rugby side and sheens staying. I still live in hope!!
