| A double decker 67 at the end of the match would help.
This is a serious comment: sending a single decker means issues in getting home to anyone dependant on public transport that night.

| I read it more as a veiled threat to the SMC than a criticism of those not turning up.

Exactly, what I do find odd is that not one official mention anywhere that the access roads are months and months behind schedule, in my mind what will be the biggest part of the new road system (IE the bridge over the canal) hasn't even started to be constructed.
Doubt the issues of getting fans into and out of the stadium will change in any significant way until this is all 100% finished.
God to have had the Doc in charge when the new stadium was being planned, pretty sure a site like Ladywell would have been more favourably considered.

| Quote: Talent Spotter "How long til the inevitable Manchester name change is mooted? With the constant references to how Salford can't attract fans, playing games around the Greater Manchester area and the removal of the word Salford from any club merchandise it seems to be getting closer.
Could be the first big decision for the new fans panel.

| If they answered the telephone they might get a few more sales here is a quote from a friend.
"Oh well yet again John Lee has tried to renew our season tickets but still not answering phone in ticket office. I wonder how many people have give up trying and not going to to bother buying a season ticket. I am considering not bothering . Not a happy salford fan at the moment"
All week he has been ringing the ticket office all week and nobody answers the telephone?????
I`m sure they are not the only ones. god help any new fans.
Its a joke

I didn't realise we were so badly thought of. Not that I care, of course.
Welcome to the board. Don't go away. You'll find us very gentle. Honestly!

I agree, the Ladywell site would have been the perfect location to have the new stadium, tram links were already established easy access to the M602 motorway and walking distance for the majority of Salford fans, for me Barton is just to far away. Three years ago we had 10,500 fans at the willows of which I reckon 8500-9500 of those were Salford fans, this just proves we have the fan base. I don't know if this has been asked before but are we tied to Barton is there no way we could acquire the land at Ladywell and build a new stadium with the help of the doc?

| I think some of you expect too much from the Doc, he has submitted an application to build a stadium in Swinton, what business sense makes you think he would construct another.
It would be interesting to see the distribution of fans as I'm not convinced the majority live within walking distance of the Willows.

And how many of the 10500 fans there on the last day at the Willows were on a freebie?I know quite a few and I am sure others know many who will only come if its free.

Business sense, well that is a question for business people as to whether it is viable or not?
Fan base, yeah it would be interesting to see the distribution but I am sure with a stadium like the willows being 100+ years old you would have a lot of fans living locally to it?
I also appreciate what the doc has done for Salford and where we would be without him.

| Quote: Dr. Koukash "This stadium is a fantastic stadium. It's one of the best rugby league stadiums in this country but there are issues that need to be addressed; accessibility, matchday experience, etc.
If being here keeps fans away then we need to ask why? If you can't solve them and get people to work with you, you have to consider other options.'"
Read into that what you will.
