Flying Displays
New for 2014, by popular demand, we are incorporating a number of flying displays into our Family Fun Day event. The displays will take place mid-afternoon (exact time to be confirmed approximately 3 weeks before the event). Please note all displays are subject to change or cancellation.
we have a fixture at home, it is up to the airport to have date when we are not at home, not that hard when we have 3 away on the run.

| Quote: bryanthered "the world cup final is in the evening, as for a aie show, our fixtures have been known to everyone since last November, so how come this as only just come to light now.
and why Saturday evening and why have we got three away games on the run?'"
Its because of all the clubs that share their grounds with soccer teams and we all have to bow to their fixture problems. Wakey seem to have suffered more than any body over the last couple of seasons going weeks and weeks without a home fixture with all the cash flow implications.

Not true, City Airport (or Barton to us old codgers) has had the Fun Day ( note NOT an airshow) on their calendar for well over a year, certainly before the Superleague fixtures were announced.

| Why does RL have to play second fiddle to every other event from the world tidily winks championships to a bloody French bike race!!! What the hell is the tour de France doing in Huddersfield???
As a shift worker and season ticket holder I have to work around the fixtures and book leave so I can attend all the matches so why aren’t theses other events considered when the fixtures are being planned at the start of the season? I now find I cant attend the Hull match because of the Barton Air Show (this event has been known about for a year) here’s a thought! Let the bloody air show move to accommodate Salford Match and the bloody bike race stay in France!!

No - it says the exact display TIME will be confirmed ~ 3 weeks before the event - it always depends on what aircraft are available & when - the link rlhttps://www.visitcityairport.co.uk/rl gives the full details - sorry.

The Tour de France is one of the biggest sporting events in the whole world and it's a massive coup for us to have a stage in the UK. They reckon about 3 million people are going to watch the route over here on that weekend. I agree with you about moving the air show but come on, the Tour de France is huge!

So I assume these 3million people are paying to watch the Tour de France so that’ll make up for the huge disruption and miles of public highways being closed
And why was the Huddersfield game scheduled for the same Day? As with the Air show these events were known well before the beginning of the season

I think you have to consider all the other variables such as our form over the next three games, Hull’s form, and the weather on the day. Plus the fact it will be almost a full month between home fixtures for us and it could potentially be Kevin Locke's home debut.

I think 7.30 on a Saturday is a belting KO time. 9.15 finish then on the lash!

| The pitch has been dug up for re seeding which probably explains why we have 3 consecutive away games.
Hopefully next time it will take place during the RU season.
