I'm sure I read somewhere that Warren Hegg the ex Lancashire wicketkeeper was a Salford fan. A few of the guys from the Lancs team of the 1990s used to be mates with Iestyn Harris, I know Neil Fairbrother and Steve Titchard are Warrington fans, I seem to remember reading that Hegg was a Salford fan and Stuart Law supports Brisbane Broncos.

Peter Martin there's a blast from the past one of my favourite bowlers of the era. He was a great one day opening bowler, kept it tight, good bounce and swung the ball away from the bat, with Ian Austin bowling maidens from the other end Martin was always worth a couple of wickets early on.

Certainly Tony Wilson was
and Mike Sweeney of course.
In the 70's I used to see some of the United and City players at the Willows but cannot state they continued to support once they moved away or retired.

Always thought man utd might of bought Salford like Barcelona has done with there local sport teams |
