| Tesco Salford, mid 80's. Well I say work, it was more like a social life though. I'm surprised I never bumped into you, especially at the Willows. I've seen Tony Pickup at quite a few games.

| Tesco Salford! Great times whilst at college! Shows what life is like, because I now work for Tesco again and have done for the last 4 years (although, quite a different role now!). Not seen Tony Pickup for ages - think he's an optician. Will look out for you at the games: I've 5 seats in the west stand with my wife and kids, and also manage 5 or 6 away games each season too, so if you see me, come and say hi.

| We (Relix) put this idea on your forum last year and were lambasted by some individuals for some reason so we never pursued it, although one person in Ireland contacted us and asked if we could get one made for him which we did, as it resembled a Hull KR 1964 one we launched apart from the badge. If I remember, there was also a green one with the letter S that was mentioned. They were reasonably well received by some of the clubs, whereas others wanted to do their own thing with the retro idea.

I'm not sure lambasted woudl be the word I'd use. I vaguely remember a version of the 70s red shirt with white S being posted, and a few criticised it for being the wrong typeface for the S. I think that if someone was to make the shirt above, with the round devil/ball/posts badge, there would be healthy interest.

Well it certainly came across as being frosty. Some comments aired towards the fact that your club would not profit from this so why should they support it. Anyway, if there is enough interest in a certain shirt, we would be happy to put some costings together. Feel free to post any ideas either on this page or visit www.relix.eu

We have just had some costings back for the 1988 jersey. It would retail at £40, which would be for a sublimated version although we would need a minimum order of 20 to make the thing worthwhile. Cotton versions can be done but costs would be a lot higher. What we usually do is offer them on a pre sale basis on our site www.relix.eu, and if the target is met, the order will proceed. If it does not reach the minimum quantity, everyone will be refunded. Please give us some idea of numbers/interest etc and we will look at progressing this one further.

| Excuse my ignorance but what does a sublimated version mean?

(via ehow)
Dye sublimation transfers a design from a special type of paper to another object using heat and pressure. This transfer is performed using a heat press, which changes the dye particles from solid to gas and merges them with the polymers of the blank product.
Obviously.

| So does that mean it would be the same type of fabric and colour print as this type of shirt, but with the 1988 shirt design printed on?
I'd be interested to see stuff like the collar, sleeve length and how the badge would appear.

| Yes it would be same material. Badge would be embroidered, however, we would need to ask the club if we can use the badge and also if they had a file of it. We can usually get them copied but obviously its quicker if we already have the design. Any assistance with this particular matter would be appreciated.
