Really, so Theo lives rent free then...... Elaborate please

Hardly vitriol Barton. An independent supporters trust without conflicts of interests would channel the monies into a Reform instead of Wilky's debt.

Another thread runined by petty insults. icon_rolleyes.gif

Whatever peoples views on FR, as it stands it is our only vehicle for collecting donations/pledges.

Come on mate you sound abit bitter about forever reds? I was at the very first meeting in 2003 in the willows restraunt when we put a plan together to help the team on the field get back to super league it was generally indipendant anyone was invited and could take part in the fund raising walks or fun days, Shirley was someone a few years down the line who gave a lot of her personal time up in becoming chairwoman after the previous chairmen gave up the position due to their own reasons, after we were promoted back to SL in 2004 we then were asked by the club to help out the academy lads with supplements and boots things like that, this is where Shirley a good few years later probably was asked if she knew anyone to give a young exciting French lad a place to stay while he was playing over here in Britain.
I think Shirley opting to give theo a home is brilliant if he turns out to be the next big thing it will be partly down to her for giving him the chance to stay in England and play. At the end of the day people have their opinions mine are that John has made huge mistakes others differ but I'd still be happy to attent forever reds know some people won't agree with my views, because forever reds are the fans voice and are at the moment the only option the club has to help save us from liquidation so instead of moaning in a jealous bitter manner about a person who's spent years working hard FOR FREE for the good of this club, it would be better if you jumped on board and helped FRs out because we might not have a club to call our own any longer FFS will everyone just stick together on one main goal KEEPING OUR CLUB ALIVE!

I can assure you that Forever Reds is not bent. The whole point of FR becoming incorporated as in Industrial and Provident Society was to ensure that it was a member owned organisation with everyone having an equal say, and anyone putting money in knowing that it can only be spent according to the Trust Rules and subject to the regulation of the Financial Services Authority.

Well there's another numpty on the foes list (it really is the future for making these threads tolerable, the likes of PYB show why I'm possibly slightly less worried about the possibility of the club folding as frankly if they are the type of fans we have we don't deserve a club at all.

I know the Morsons and the Dones have said no to major financial help but a few bob to the SOS would surely be something they'd consider? Wouldn't have a clue on how to ask.

Yeah I don't have a problem with that point of view. Just don't see what bringing personal grudges into it does to help the situation.

I don`t think its a grudge its a question that needs answering ,afterall if money is being paid to the acting chair off the F.R from the club then some folk will be suspicious, its human nature. If the acting chair does not receive any monies at all from the S.C.R for lets say lodgings, just say so then its all done and dusted.Otherwise people will keep on asking questions.

Forever Reds is a member owned co-operative. The chairperson has no more voting power than any other member. On board matters, they have no more power than any other board member.

Certain people will always find faults with organisations such as FR. If it wasn't this they would probably go back to accusations of it being a clique.

Your club is sliding into the abyss and yet you are in-fighting about the fact that the current administration may or may not be paying costs for an individual who is in effect looking after a possible young star for your club, utterly amazing.

I know Shirley having enjoyed her company on a couple of Wembley trips and if the rest of the salford support was as passionate about your club as she is you may stand a chance of raising the 60K you want to raise.

I still think it is unwise to pump this money into the current club as nobody has suggested how the remaining debt including council loans will be repaid and ultimately it is probable you will be back to square one in a few months time. that is of course unless your crowds pick up considerably resulting in increased revenue.

Only an opinion but the formation of a new club/company has to be the way forward, debt free and manageable with the income streams available.

As for Shirley her only crime is that she has to be the worst singer I have ever heard on a train when nursing a hangover.

Good luck with your efforts and all pull together.

I think the point Iain was making is that however 'well in' with the club it is claimed the chairperson is, nothing can be agreed on without the votes/agreement of the majority of the rest of the board.

Of course theay will, what you do not do is give them any ammo, like for instance not answering questions.F.R,in my eyes have done a fantastic job and long may it continue.I fror one would back them to take over the running of our club if they wanted to.
