3596.jpg this will not be the end, or even the beginning of the end.
It is merely the end of the beginning

| Keep guessing. I think Kots knows the answer but I think he's just playing along.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

| Didn't the players used to stand well back from the half way line... no covering the short kick off which didn't really exist. The rule that changed was you had to kick it at least 10m? Because previously they would just kick it to the other team. One team decided to just kick the ball short?

| Quote: theredshed "An unusual incident occured at the Willows during the 1970's leading to a change in the rules of the rugby league? This rule is still in force today. Does anyone know what the rule change was?'"
Salford v Castleford, Salford were leading 13-10 when Several hundred youngsters invaded the ptch as Castleford launched an up and under and the ball hit a spectator over the try line.
The referee Billy Thompson had to end the match which was later declared void and a replay ordered, a draw 11-11.
As a result, the RFL amended the rules - still in force today-ensuring the klaxon only sounds at a stoppage in play.

| I may have mislead you the rule change has since changed. The game only ends at the next stoppage after the hooter unless there is a kick at goal or a penalty is awarded.
Under the current rules the same thing could actually happen again.

| Whilst we're on trivia, I need a little help with something. Can anyone give me the scorers from the 1996 Premiership Final v Keighley?. I know we won 19 - 6 and I'm sure Scott Naylor got a try but for the life of me I can't recall or find any others (In my defence I was very unwell and shouldn't have gone to the game, but the Reds in a final, Pfff you think I was missing that

| I know what it was!................................A ref once gave Salford a decision, it was a good decision and we won.
And ever since it is in the rule book that all refs at The Willows have to be ar$eholes, not give good decisions and enable Salford to win.
Sorry it just seems like it sometimes.
