| The Doc is entitled to hire & fire as it is his business, however I do have concerns that he continues to conduct the clubs business by a social media, when I read his feed early last evening I assumed Brian Noble was fully supportive & had accepted the changes (clearly Not)
I would suggest the Doctor should release is redundant PR machine as it is not needed.
I will be forever grateful for saving our great clubs heritage, however all successful businesses & successful sports businesses are built on stability & there is a way business matters are conducted in private & released at the appropriate times, not by social media.
I am not a Noble fan, however I do not agree with the changes at the present moment, I agree he as the right to make such changes, but please Mr Koukash stop making these changes by social media & release in the right manner with respect to all individuals involved.

| Well, according to the sky sports website,Nobbys contract was up on Monday. So he hasn't been sacked, he's just not being retained as head coach. The Doc can see that Nobbys wasn't getting the best out of the players, so it was either offer him a new contract or look for someone new. Must say I find it strange to appoint Harris. Thought he may have gone for a top Aussie. Fully expect Bobbie Goulding to come on board some time soon to work with the kids.

That would be an even worse move, Alan Hunte has worked wonders getting such a good set of youngsters so why destabilise it by bringing in someone with more baggage than Imelda Marcos at a shoe convention.

When we brought in Noble the contract term quoted at the press conference was 18 months.

I'm staring to lose track of which posters are ones who think that constantly rehashing a 15 month old joke is funny (probably the type of people who say hilarious things like "I'm not three bad"), and those who are just too thick to spell his name properly.

| We do not know how good Iestyn Harris will be as Head Coach. We will have to judge him by the way in which the team performs. He may not have been the choice of a few posters but some seem to believe that Aussie assistants are the real thing and British assistants are inadequate and I don't agree with that.
I am a fan of the good doctor, but don't think that he is always right. Having said that, I can understand his frustration with the team's performances in certain games. In the Fans' Bar after both the Warrington and St Helens games we had discussions about how secure Brian Noble would feel in his job. Several people thought that we were back to the Shaun McRae style of five drives and a kick. There was lots of criticism of the one man rugby style we thought we were seeing.
I think it is in Marwan Koukash's nature to act decisively. He probably doesn't get every action right, but he is never afraid to act. I am told that he acted decisively in his early horse racing days until he was "sure" that he had got things right, and we can see how successful he has been in that sphere. This seems to be the same philosophy he has brought to Rugby League, and despite supporters of other clubs coming on here to criticise him for not understanding Rugby league, I think it is refreshing that after decades of apparent inactivity and a reluctance to make changes there is now an energy and urgency about our quest for success.

| It amazes me to here people saying we need stability to build a winning club.
Will they be the same people who criticized Wilky for being indecisive I think back to how long it took to replace the likes of John Harvey,Karl Harrison,Steve McCormack McRae etc when it was obvious for whatever reason the clubs prospects would not improve and let's not forget some of the backroom staff that stayed at the club for year after year without improving anything.
So if i'm given a choice between nice and loyal but indecisive Wilky and ruthless but decisive Marwan, it's Marwans way everytime.

I know this is like poking a hornet's nest, but, let's face it, you Salford fans don't really have a choice but to support your owner's actions, because if he was to ever walk out then you would be finished as a Super League club - Its like us Wire fans have to be eternally grateful to Simon Moran for the same reason, despite him making mistakes throughout his ownership, especially with regard to coaches.
As I've said before, I believe that if Koukash shows patience and surrounds himself with people who can rein him in a bit, then some type of success is inevitable, but if he continues to be so publicly vocal in his criticism of the side's displays and making knee-jerk decisions like sacking coaches after a few poor results, then attracting top class people to his club will become increasingly difficult.

| I don't think it was necessarily about being indecisive, more likely the expense of paying off a coach and having to pay extra to employ a new one. I presume it doesn't matter much to Koukash if he has the money to do this kind of thing.
I think your choice bezzerscr is more disguised as preferring a 'sugar daddy' owner willing to throw big bucks at it.

| Quote Walshovski="Walshovski" The shipping out of Noble is knee jerk but could be justified if Wayne Bennett came waltzing off the next plane. The fact Iestyn Harris is viewed as the answer is crazy.'"
Fully agree.
Harris may well develop into a good coach but he's a long way off the mark at the moment, and MK isn't known for his patience.
I said earlier that it seemed to be madness and nothing I've heard or read since I posted that has changed my mind.
Salford were my outside bet for a top 8, but now they're not.
