I was thinking about this last night and think another decent indicator will be when we don't turn for a game and get battered which unfortunately is going to happen the odd time, if the new team is generally doing better it will be interesting to see how many early walkers we have and how many are at the next match.

Marwan just needs to realise it's going to take a little longer than he realised it would, this current Salford team to anyone that knows rugby isn't going to win SL, we can all see that, it's a competitive side that will win more than it loses and will compete and beat some of the big boys but it doesn't have the full package, the depth or even the youth system to call on.

It's hard to attract top players to a side that hasn't looked like winning a title for decade unless you pay big bucks, which because of the salary cap isn't possible.
If this side gets a playoff spot, next season it becomes easier to recruit a higher standard of player without necessarily paying out as much. This turns the team into a better team than season one, season three then becomes the season when you can invite pretty much anyone to join a side that has the potential for a GF win.

With mega bucks season 3 is the key season not season 1, season 1 is the exciting season but season 3 is when I think Salford will be dangerous, Marwan needs to learn a little patience and I'm sure a genuine top 5 threat will equateto 8k+ crowds.

I honestly think this season is the begining of a very long upwards curve (I mean where currently lower than a pregnant snakes nipples) which will I hope peak and stay at a team who fights every season for silverware.
