| Kurt Wrigley is apparently the number one target to replace McRae.
He is supposed to be interested but Souths aren't keen to release him though as they want him to stay on as assistant to McGuire next season.

Let them keep him then, not sure if he would be much better than some of the UK based alternatives.

| The abuse McRae got off you lot was over the top. You're not a big club so what were you expecting?
Are you likely to attract a coach which has won the trophies he has in the past? No.

Thank you for your wonderful insight into matters. Maybe you'd like to take Cullen back to free up Smith?.

But when Warrington were going nowhere under Cullen you got right behind him of course.

The difference is Warrington are a big club who expect success, the same can't be said for Salford.

And the last time you won the League was?
We may have given McRae some stick but we never booed them off after a pre-season friendly, and Cullen was one of your legends.

Cullen had lost the plot and needed to be removed. Remember this is Warrington Wolves, trophies need to be delivered,if not, your out.
And what's happened?
Wire are now a major force and have 2 Challenge Cups gleaming in Halliwell-Jones boardroom under the leadership of the world's best coach.

Oh for short memories!!!
Warrington were far from a big club, when Cullen took over, infact I'm pretty certain that if it wasn't for a couple of freak results you would have been relegated, instead of Salford, during your last season at the dream factory. As poor as Salford were in 2002, we still turned you over, quite convincingly, at the Willows.
This from a big club who has reputation for spending beyond it's means. Which leads me on to the real fact, Warrington have spent big amounts of money to get where they are in SL and that is why your coaches get sacked for not delivering trophies. Not because you were a big club. Fair play, you have got one of the best coaches currently in SL, but lets cast our minds back to that same star studded team getting stuffed by injury hit Wakefield and Jimmy Lowes embarrassing himself on national TV. Goes to show how big a difference changing headcoach can make.

| The fact is that the personal abuse that MacRae received was a disgrace and the contributors to that should be ashamed

Really ?!?!?!?.... The fact is that his wife was dying of cancer and had been ill for some time... yet you lot continued to boo the guy when he needed your backing... a guy who had given your club years of loyal service... a guy which many said was a legend to the Warrington club... such a wonderful way to treat one of your own.
Now get your tail... throw it between your legs... and jog on back to your own message board.

| Lets get back on topic here-we must surely assume that a coach that Wilkie really fancies has made it clear its now or never, as all the club's noises this week have been we carry on with what we have.Surely this points to a rapid appointment

| I think you should appoint Brian Noble. He took a very poor Wigan side (2006 nearly relegated) to 80 minutes of the GF on three occasions. Noble is a fine coach who would only improve you. Exciting times ahead for Salford and I hope you appoint the right guy.
