The stewards had to open the emergency exits to prevent them getting crushed against the barriers because there was nowhere else to go. I have waited to read witness reports and another matter concerns me: if there were issues between immature actors and fans trying to contain the immaturity, will this be obvious in the viewing of the video evidence? There seems to be witch hunt to identify culprits: what of otherwise innocent persons caught up in the matter and defending themselves?

Re Huddersfield: I spoke to a family who sat close to the fracas and they commented some of the young fans had been able to buy alcohol in the ground without proving they were 18 or over. Is this true, Jools? If it is ... Huddersfield could be found guilty of breaking several rules and laws.
