| For what it's worth, I understand why it looks odd I've picked this appointment out but given the others were being readily discussed and this one (as I've said, the most bizarre of the lot) wasn't I thought it was going to require me to again put my ahead above the crowd to raise the subject.
I think I probably also raised it because the shambles of how it has come about stinks of buying someoens silence and money talking yet again. As I've said, she seems a lovely person but she has been a vocal critic of the way Koukash has run the club for over two years (hence this original thread) and has exchanged insults with him on many occasions. Suddenly, after one month of not criticising "The Good Doctor" and getting into his good books she land s a job with him and they are best friends?
The way Koukash is hasnt changed, nor even the way he uses social media or runs the club. Why the sudden change of heart? Principles/morales have been sacrificed for the sake of the job.
I believe Louise to be a lovely person who has a heart of gold, but I think we can all see from mile off that this will end in tears, unfortunately.

I am sure even Louise herself wouldn't claim to be the most enthusiastic and devoted supporter, how do you even measure such a thing? Games attended? How many tweets you make? How many graphics you make for players? Louise is no different from us all here and the 2,000 or so die hards that turned up for the last few months of the season.'"
I have to agree JGR I have no beef with the person in question (didn't even know anything about it) but there's loads of fans who are totally committed to Salford who don't seek any publicity or a pat on the back.

| The Original Forever Reds model could easily be utililised to help market the club. Back when it was created there was a good spread of fanatical support and experience that helped us raise over £50k when the club needed it most.
We gained a lot of experience through those years, and I still use some of those experiences now.
As a group of supporters we managed to get on TV, Radio and in newspapers... as well as sell out individual events which were attended by supporters and celebs alike.
Even then, the criticism that was thrown our way was ridiculous. I've still no idea why people criticised at that time. The club needed fans to help and we did. Yet many thought we had ulterior motives. Most of the people involved in FR never had any other motive that doing something to help the club they loved.
As Forever Reds moved on, I had to move on too... and I left with a fairly sour taste in my mouth, many reasons of which don't need to be aired on here.
Personally I put in many many hours. I literally never had time for myself. Work would finish and FR work would start. This went on for months.
That said... there isn't any reason why that couldn't work again. It's simply a case of getting a good mix of dedicated people with a broad range of experience and knowledge... no hidden agenda... no secrets... just hard dedication.
I have often thought about starting something back up again as I do feel like the club perhaps need this.

| I admire the bravery of someone willing to back up their words with action. A documented history of expressing who's useless and who's stealing a living must be a pretty useful motivator to succeed.

| Embarrassing appointment by the club, she'll end up putting the clubs name through the dirt. Seen a post on twitter about Marwan being badly advised, couldn't agree more. Hopefully she'all be found out by the power that be to be professionally inept and clearly a fraud.

I was a member of FR but not really active, I for one believe the supporters need a voice & certainly believe in the good work that used to be carried out by those involved. I would support this type of supporters initiative.
Am I right that FR was disbanded when MK arrived at the club, was it perceived MK had lots of money & FR would not be needed to raise future funds to support the club.

| Fully admit I'm not in anyway a fan of Louise, to me she comes across as an attention seeker, it doesn't help that people blow smoke up her backside. But I'm trying to get over that to support the club. anything is worth a try.

Nonsense!! Aren't you aware that the person who makes the most Twitter/Facebook/Instagram etc posts gets the title "Top Red"?!
Nothing against this Louise woman but didn't she used to post on the Turkey and had a massive rant about not getting a job previously? If I'm talking about the same person she certainly seemed to polarise opinions amongst fans! Having one loose cannon in the club is dangerous but 2 may be asking for trouble!
If I'm getting her mixed up with someone else then I apologise and like I said it's nothing personal at all.

A group like Forever Reds could always be used for more than simply funding the club. The manpower can be used to actively market the club within a given budget... which is provided by the club. To self fund this sort of thing means raising money... which the takes up the valuable time that is needed to do the job that they are brought in to do. Events take a lot of organising... I know because of the amount of work I personally did to organise events.
As for whether the FR are disbanded... You may be best asking those who took it over.

| This was posted by Louise on another thread a couple of years back. I dont know what was said and cant condone any bullying (if ever there was any) however questioning a club appointment is not and never has been bullying. Anyway, this gives some insight into her roles with the club so is interesting and suggests, whether relevant or not, that she does have some experience...
Quote: MsCityRedGirl "
Let's just clear this up shall we. The underlying issue here is that of a personal dislike of myself. Of course not everybody is going to "Get Me" nor "Like Me". That's fine, I accept that. What I will no longer accept is a certain small section of Salford supporters constantly having sly digs at me on social networks, and at games.
Yes I have been vocal about certain elements about the past actions of individuals at the club, maybe that was because I saw it with my own eyes. I had friends that were affected. As tweeted to me this weekend, let me clarify the facts. I was never SACKED from Salford (Be real, It was a Club Shop Job) Ive been involved with the club in both paid and voluntary position's since I was 11 years old. I resigned from the Club in 2007 because D.Tarry was constantly cutting the shop retail hours, simply because we wasn't bringing enough money via retail. As somebody with Rent to Pay, I had no choice but to find a full time Job. I was gutted because the admin team were promised much more exciting things when we moved stadium. So the truth, Yep it's as boring as that.
People make mistakes as they grow up, being too open about certain issues has been my past mistake, Oh and this personal vendetta is down to pre agreeing to sell a framed shirt to a certain member of the Scholes family during the Salford Auction night. Issue being in hindsight I shouldn't of said it would be possible and as it happens the shirt went for a lot more, so I had no right to accept a lower offer, after all that money was going into the clubs coffers, which was explained on the night, which wasn't accepted and ended with being given a mouthful of abuse.
But since that issue, Certain members of the Scholes family have been downright Spiteful when it comes to personally attacking me.
As for this column issue, It isn't my fault that M.E.N have decided to not continue being linked with a twitter account that publicly swears at opposite supporters, fellow supporters and RFL admins. Is that really a positive advert for the "Salford Faithful".
I have many player's both past and present, club historian and journalist's that are friends.
I don't proclaim to be a Super Fan, Not EVERY supporter can afford to go Home & Away, Ive been a home season ticket holder for 19 Years,Unfortunatley I don't drive and have work commitment's that mean I only have home matches available to me. In respect of the column offer, of course there are many more supporters that could easily represent the club, and if they would like to write anything then it's up to them to do it. I was asked by Neil Barker because I have gained a credible reputation from my previously published articles (League Express, Forty-Twenty, IRL Media, Salford Online, plus a weekly PAID column for The Best Of Salford) alongside work for Leigh Centurions, Batley Bulldogs and RL4ALEX in it's foundation stages.
Enough is Enough now, Internet bullying is the lowest of the low, and some are lucky I haven't taken action. Please let this be the last request, Be and Adult and leave me alone to get on with my passion and desire to progress with my career , and you get on with whatever makes you happy. '"

[quote="Gotcha":y7izhg01]Salford won't win Super League in my lifetime. Even saying in jest they would sounds stupid.[/quote:y7izhg01]: |

| No fan deserves to feel as though they are being "bullied" regardless of what differences each of us may have with each other. Ultimately we all have one major common ground and that is our love for Salford RLFC. We all want the best for the club both on and off the pitch and because of that we are bound to have disagreements whether it be over signing a certain player or the club appointing someone as part of the backroom team. These disagreements aren’t personal at the individual but rather the desire for overall good of the team and club.
My only genuine concern is whether Louise will feel confident enough standing her ground as and when needed with Marwan. Following her well documented dispute with him will she feel confident enough to challenge him as and when needed? Or will there be some trepidation and concern that if the line isn’t towed then the relationship with both Marwan and the club she has worked so hard to repair will be thrown back in her face. I suppose time will tell on that one.
I don’t have any personal opinion on Louise at all (as I don’t know with any other Salford supporter) as I don’t know her well enough to cast such judgement. I can only comment from a professional basis with regards to her recent appointment. Again though we are unclear what her actual remit/role is and whether it’s full-time, part-time, paid or unpaid. That in its self makes difficult to judge whether or not this is a good or bad appointment. As I have said though she is a fan just like the rest of us and I am sure will move heaven and earth to make a success of whatever it is she has been asked to do.
I also sure Louise understands why this whole topic is now being discussed all over again. When you make such a big deal in public about your strained relationship with the club and its owner for over two years and then following a few months of peace you’re waxing lyrical about them again and accepting their job offer people are bound to (rightly or wrongly) question it.

I could not agree more, you only need to look how this forum disintegrated over the last few months!
