| And you're dead right.
He's daft.
He was correctly found guilty.
The ban is disproportionate and I agree with the chicken wing analogy

Chicken wings, ankle locks, cannonball tackles etc are the real thuggish acts imo, and the bans (or lack of) that are given out are ridiculous. In a full blooded game when you are phsyced up its easy for things to boil over and for punches to be thrown, or for attempted big hits to turn into wreckless high tackles. We don't want this stuff in our game, but we can accept that it can and will happen from time to time. But when a guy commits a chicken wing tackle for example, they know exactly what they are doing and the know the consequences. To deliberately try to hurt a fellow players by twisting his ankle or shoulder is about as low as you can go on a rugby field.

The blokes an idiot and a coward. I'm merely ranking his misdemeanours in order with the other filthy acts of the weekend.i mentioned the attack on Pelisier. But the chicken wing on crabtree was the nastiest incident of the round. A one match ban if I'm correct.....
I challenge you to watch the two incidents of kneeling by hock and the deliberate and let's be honest some real hard work the Wigan player put in to bending crabtrees arm back, and see which one turns your stomach more.
Like I said I'm not defending hock I'm just trying to manage people's hysteria. .'"
It's noticeable that your protestations about Williams and Carney and whoever else you want to drag into the debate are only done so on here and not on the appropriate boards' of the clubs concerned. When replying to your last post I agreed with what you said regarding them, but even if they are all guilty it does not excuse what Hock did or lessen his actions so why the need to repeat it?, Those other misdemeanours you talk about are all separate incidents and should be dealt with separately on their merit and not lumped together to suit your argument. You've keep repeating yourself that he's a coward and an idiot, Oh and you keep on labouring the point that your not defending him, what is your point then?.

how Wigan keep getting away with it is unbelievable. believe in the hudds game tony club does a cannon ball tackle on a Hudds player, crowd react, no action taken by anyone....
having watched both games only on TV i believe the chicken wing to be more malicious. hock was just being, well hock. he hardly smashed his knees into anyone, however the chicken wing was deliberate and malicious. had it been 3 games each running concurrently i think might have been "fairer" but 6 games for that is daft when compared to some "attacks" ie benny westwood in round 1

Well said Rhino - totally concur - really feel the club should appeal and try for a 3 match concurrent ban substituted.

If bans run concurrently, you are offering players like Hock carte Blanche after being put on report for the first. Knowing he could only get 3 games, what would of stopped him doing it again and again until he caught a nose or a cheek bone and did some serious damage?
Have there been more dangerous acts this year than Hock dropping the knee? Yes, absolutely. but the sheer fact he was stupid enough to do the same thing 8 minutes later warrents the bans not running concurrently.

The problem is the disciplinary committee are prejudice and Hock's previous behaviour has influenced their decision on the severity of the punishment. Hock is damaged goods unfortunately.

true, but it does seem unduly harsh. as shed just mentioned, i feel his previous history is clouding judgement.
as an edit, just checked the disciplinary and clubb had to use an EGP, missed that wen i read it.

| Koukash has just been on a Sky Sports News wondering whether it is time Hock gave up playing so might be his last van of the season (career?)

| Once or twice could be considered unlucky in terms of decisions and bans but when it happens time and time again there is a real issue. Hock's had enough time away from the sport to consider his options but still makes mistakes , does he actually want to play the game or is he happy to get banned knowing full well the RFL will top up any bans he recieves due to past indiscretions.
Maybe the RFL have an option to ban him rather than Salford taking the option to cancel his contract although this could / would have legal consequences but there has to be a point where enough is enough

Koukash must be p*ssed off. Despite their chat following his transfer request, nothing seems to have changed and Hock rewards him be picking up a 6 game ban just 2 games into the season.

| I have to confess, i was one of the many that prior to last year, couldn't believe you'd put chase and hock in the same changing room and was expecting at least one of them to blow up and cause a problem, Hock did so last year and he has this year.
It's not even a point where you would like to say "I told you so", it feels like i'm the outside looking in on a friend in a bad relationship, that they just can't break away from.
Hopefully,y'all are about to see sense.

| Watching the game on TV I got the impression he did not want to be there and looked like he decided his way of getting off. To do it once was bad but to do it again suggests premeditation knowing what the outcome will be.
His talent can no longer be an excuse for his actions, I thought the fact that no other club was willing to take him on when he asked to leave Salford would make him realise that he was now at the point of no return, sadly his actions say not.
