The Manchester Evening News regularly use online social websites to source comments. There have been high profile local murders and deaths, one who I knew personally, and 'journalists' obtained material such as photographs and individual comments from their facebook pages. This is distasteful in my opinion.

In this instance however its somewhat more trivial. Rugby fans using random usernames commenting on their teams. At least the paper is giving us plenty of coverage. Try following Swinton, they rarely get a mention and even got ignored by the Salford Advertiser a couple of weeks ago.

I don't know why my original response came out blank, but basically I was meant to say that it's a tactic used by all newspapers, not just the MEN. It's not something to use to attack them and them alone - there's plenty of other reasons to do that!

As for way this thread has gone since, Jesus. Some people are very tetchy about criticism or responses they don't like (and I don't meant Louise's post, either...)

The poster whom I presume you are supporting/defending (Walshovski) ?, whilst albeit knowledgeable and informed, takes every opportunity available to criticise and belittle.
Perhaps he should learn to let things ride, and not wade in at the first opportunity ?
It's patently clear that certain contributors on here do not like each other and dislike many of each others posts. In itself, that is quite childish, but to constantly correct/disparage and generally bitch is awfully tiresome.
As for calling people "mard s", well that comment fits right in with his apparent agenda & simply underlines the posters aggressiveness, wouldn't you agree ?

The article in today's M.E.N sounds a bit bitter?

I found the remark about the Doc telling Harris to increase the intensity of the training rather strange. With respect that's surely up to the highly qualified strength and conditioning team to evaluate because there is a danger of overexertion.

Suggesting training previously wasnt intense enough following his conversation with the players questioning Nobles methods perhaps?

If you air your views on a public site there is always a chance those views will be reproduced. If those views are reproduced by another fan you would expect a pm at least.

Why is it that articles written by fans always seem to assume everyone thinks the same. How can anyone speak for the majority of fans.
