It's funny that idiots have such short memories.

That's exactly what's happening.
I remember how Salford fans laughed at the mock outrage from Hull fans when one of our players lobbed a ball into the crowd at the KC a few years back.
The only people definitely in the wrong yesterday were the Salford fans who lobbed beer and the bottle on the pitch. The Wire players may have been OTT with their celebration, but there's no rules against that.

Christ are these people not getting help? I'd rather throw a child away than beer

Was that Finnigan? He went to throw it up in the air, got the angle wrong and hit someone in the crowd from what I remember.
The celebration yesterday was no different from the one down the other end, they threw the ball up into the crowd for a couple of their other tries. Probably wasn't wise doing that and jumping on top of each other/pumping fists in front of visiting fans, but it definitely didn't warrant the pathetic reaction from some of our own.

| I guess one plus for the club from yesterday is that this silly incident has taken the attention away from the team's display.
Was the radio interview comments a deliberate maneuver or just a fortunate coincidence?

| Too right redshed. Wasn`t it woeful? Nobby`s `Humpty Dumpty` joke was right but his tactics of driving back into the markers was so boring to watch and tactically inept as well.
The flair shown when Allan Hunte & Longy were involved has disappeared and its 5 drives and a kick (sometimes) time. I know we are in transition - I know that most of the squad will be elsewhere next year but PLEASE Nobby - treat us to a bit more flair We are supposed to be in the Entertainment business.

I would've took 5 drives and a kick yesterday during the first half, when our forwards were seemingly in a competition with each other to see who could offload the ball in ths most impossible situation, conceding possession on each occasion.

| I wouldnt TS. The offload game is OK when the physical advantage is there. We dont have that. Meanwhile we still have some decent threequarters who rarely see the ball. The tactics were naive & wrong yesterday. Mauro seems to have lost weight with his beard coming off.
I still feel we will see more wins this season against lesser opposition. Lets face it Wires were good and Myler & Ratchford outstanding. Myler has never been in the game as much primarily because he fielded Sneyds kicks from the restart every time!

I think it is called 'controlling the controllables' and as we struggled to control Warrington, when they were in possession,it did seem very important.
I do find it difficult to stomach the condescending attitude of Warrington supporters. If ever Salford followers stoop as low as their standards I'll start to worry - rlbefore their cup winrl
I'll also worry if we ship 60 points in London;but that can wait.

We struggled to control the ball itself when we were in possession!
Complaining about kick offs is something which I've seen for a good few years from our fans now. It's something which is only really highlighted because of the sheer number of tries we concede. If you watch most other teams, other than the odd player they'll also kick off in exactly the same way, in the same direction and to the same player. It's just not an issue because they can actually defend.

We were a laughing stock before, and we are no different now. I was happy to believe the hype about the future and the big signings, but for gods sake, keep quiet until we really have something to shout about.'"
Koukash's presence was good in a way yesterday, it was certainly different but I would like things to settle down and us to go about things quietly.
I remember an ex chairman of a Scottish club entering in a blaze of glory, travelling on supporters coaches to away games unannounced, making major signings but there was no happy ending....

| Quote: the flying biscuit "I dont think you were a laughing stock before. Youve just been a lower end club for a very long time.....I think you are getting to a laughing stock now and thats due to one man, Koukash.
We hate Widnes Far more than yourselves and they have a Millionaire Chairman..... but he has Largely been modest, quiet and professional . Stuck by his young coach got the 3G pitch or whatever it is and is keeping his head down ... making decent signings and getting better by the year.
Marwan comes in and his first statement was "Salford will win a trophy within 12 months" now he may have slightly altered that since, but its a shocker of thing to say.
Bear in mind when Dave Whelan took control of Wigan RLFC along with Magic Maurice and his calculator with Brian Noble as Coach, Stuart Fielden as his half million pound Signing 15,000 + crowds, having the name and History and recent success of Wigan Warriors he still said if we dont Win a trophy in FIVE years well hand the club over to someone else................... they were all gone after four trophyless seasons.'"
Widnes will go nowhere though Salford at least have a chance with Koukash.
There's many who laughed at us (I expect a lot of Salford fans) during the Cullen years about our false dawns, always next year to win a trophy etc.
Salford aren't a laughing stock, they just don't get pity and sympathy any more as they have got other clubs on alert as a threat so everyone else is more keen to see them fail.

How many times do you see cricketers take a catch and throw it in the air?
It's a heat of the moment thing, not malicious and it's not as if players target fans or the like.
Here's what i think, someone from you club needs to grow up and stop being pathetic.'"
I agree with this. Always hate it when I see fans reporting things that players do. It's often people who've spent the entire game abusing the opposition as well. These things work both ways.
