Be honest about what you really found tiresome: The Mighty Widnes Vikings crossing your try line over and over again.

I wouldn't find it tiresome - id enjoy your moment. As I said, I have no argument with the result or how well you played but surely one of our passes went backwards in 80 minutes?

| No excuses the best team won and Widnes have only lost one home game.Even that game Widnes should have won and was a close game.

| Does this suggest an unfair advantage from the plastic pitch? There were a number of strange bounces. I also detected a reluctance of some to turn quickly - I assume they were a little apprehensive of their studs getting caught up in the plastic.

| Never fancied Brian Noble as coach , but changing my mind a bit.
If he can improve the defence,.
It's been bad for the last few years

There is a contrast between the Widnes scores/results at home and their away results.
That surface did look worn and there was a lot of debris which was thrown up when the ball did bounce.

| The "debris" is an integral part of the surface. It is small pieces of rubber which fill the holes in the plastic in an attempt to obtain a more consistent surface.

Who's making excuses? We lost to the better team, yes, but the way the Widnes fans went on for 80 minutes was laughable. I was in the south stand and even my Widnes supporting mate was taking the p*ss out of every cry of "forward". Bonkers.

| We were well beaten yesterday and the better team won easily.
Our wide defence, particularly down our right was awful!
I wonder how much of a factor it is having to blood too many youngsters. I think our youngsters show a great deal of potential and Alan Hunte is right to play them, but I would guess yesterday's 17 was one of the youngest squads I have seen and there were not enough real seasoned, experienced players to help them all out. Sneyd, Murphy, Gaskell, Okanga-Ajwang, Fages, Walne and Owen are under 20s form last year (or still eligible) and Adam Neal is not much older.
Most teams try to blood youngsters gradually; because of our pre-season and injuries we're having to do it on a bigger scale. I hope we get benefits from this in the not too distant future!

That comment there is what I believe will be the catalyst of our future success. These kids have affectively been thrown in at the deep end and told either swim or sink. To be fair, they have stood up and been counted well this year and if we are all honest, the results this year have probably exceeded all our expectations, even after the Dr. arrive. We all know this year is going to be a write off and I personally am happy with that knowing that the experience these kids are getting at such a young age will benefit them greatly in the future year ahead at the club. As long as they compete in the games I walk away happy be it a win or loss. OK yesterday was a big blip and we got found out massively by a side, which should be challenging around the 8th spot. As long as they now learn from this then so be it.
You only have to look at Warrington to see that their team is probably a little lob sided in the age range with most of their starts now starting to reach an age where more prone to injury (Briers, Morley….). For me we are at the start of an exciting decade and fully expect a lot of them players who came up from the 20's to be around for quite a few more years yet.

| One point from yesterday which was new to
Your full back was only about 5 yards back from the defensive line even on the 4th tackle
3 or 4 times we kicked over and could have scored from it
Never seen that before, is that something that usually happens?

| Having watched the highlights on fulltime, 5 of the widnes tries came off forward passes, every time Brown passes the ball it's a forward pass. Perhaps that's why the Widnes fans were shouting forward.
