| He has seemingly told numerous different followers on Twitter in the last few hours that he has a year to go on his contract and IS NOT leaving. That makes him either a) a bare faced liar (if he ends up going early) or b) a bloke simply decent enough to honour the contract he signed 12 months ago. Personally I'm hoping it's the latter as I think he is a class player, though one we need to see on the park more often than this season.
You're right Bigpev, now I come to think of it, the only place I have read that "Joel Moon...now also head(s) for the departure lounge with bags packed" was in the MEN - and we all know where that font of all knowlege gets his scoops from...

| Someone on the Cronulla Sharks board has posted that they have spoken to one of his family and the Sharks and Rabbitohs were after him for 2013 but we wouldn't release him from his contract. (If true) Firstly, good on the club for sticking to their guns. Secondly, lets hope that if he is here next year he doesn't spend the season sulking or 'injured' and does his utmost to put himself in the NRL shop window.

| Last Christmas a mate was over from Oz, (a Warrington fan) and asked about our two big signing from down under.
Answer both suffer from too many injuries, Moon is best at stand off
Now so far he is right about the injuries.
So give him a go at 6

A trustworthy rugby league journal,on sale each Monday, reported that the tribunal was held last Friday.
I read elsewhere, recently, possibly on Twitter, that the tribunal was lost.
Either he now focuses on Salford and the future,or his head is elsewhere and therein lies a problem.
Just another issue for the coaching staff.......pleased they thrive on stress.

Correctionfor a transfer fee with the rest ffs start a fresh.
The answer to this question may explain why the player is rumoured to be unsettled.

Moon didn't get injured until we signed him then he broke his ankle, previuos to that he had no problems playing almost constantly from 2006 either first grade or county grade rugby.

Agreed , considering the busted ankle and busted Hand injuries , he healed up pretty quickly and it didn't really effect his onfield performances which were impressive considering most overseas signings take a season to really bed in & play well .
That's why the Hernia Op he won't play again this season story sounded odd , Salford Strap them up & Jab them up and don't put on the operating table unless it's pretty serious .
Mcpherson pretty much played a 3rd of the season with a busted Knee until he busted his other knee !
Jewitt played the latter half of the season Jabbed up with a bad shoulder injury , until it got too bad .

Due to the size of the playing squad, I don't think the club have any option but to patch them up and put them out. It would also explain why our season tails off so badly every year.

| [iPress reports this morning state that the Leeds Rhinos want Joel Moon
If this is true and not just paper talk then I think we better get use to the idea Mr Moon won't be playing for the Reds in 2013.
Good luck to the lad it's a short career and he must do what's best for him and his family. Plus he's made it clear he does not want to be with the Salford City Reds were led to believe.
Like everything in the game it will all come out in the wash sooner or later...
ROLL ON NEXT SEASON.. WITH or WITHOUT JOEL MOON.

Obviously suffering with the same problem as Hudson Smith all those years ago. For those who don't know Hudson Smith he was an Australian signing that apparently pleaded with the club to release him from his contract due to severe home sickness and then signed for the Bradford Bulls the day after he was released.
