About time too - it was nerve-racking following the scores over the internet in Hamburg.

| Just got back from the game- Good 2nd half from the Reds. Some of your back moves were very slick.
Quins dominated the first half and should of kicked on especially as you had one in the bin on the stroke of half time.
I thought for a big pack you didn't go forward as well as you could have done. Defence under your sticks was strong

| well done reds, about time we got a bit of luck! Hope all the lads can take confidence from this and kick on but we've not exactly got easy games coming up! Would also like to say well done to Mcrae and the coaching staff!

| Great day! Saw Salford win and had steak and chips for me tea.
Good points: I think we only gave away two penalties and kept to the basics for large chunks of the game. And Dan Holdsworth's conversion kicks were shh1t h0t.

Thank you, Malc: |

| I wouldn't buy the DVD of the game.
The main difference between the sides was that the Salford three-quarters were more incisive.
Harlequins were in our half for the majority of the game but they were so poor they couldn't take advantage. It also looked like their second try should have been pulled back for a knock-on.
Have to say that was the worst Quins/broncos team I have ever watched.

| [iWell worth the long drive today.
Of course one win does not make you into world beaters, but this afternoon the boys shown a lot of guts and also what was most pleasing to see was the team spirit.
OK the game was not a classic but a wins a win and hopefully we can kick on from today and go to Wakefield next Sunday with a bit of hope.
I thought today Jeremy Smith had his best game for the Reds and also the goal kicking of Daniel Holdsworth was pretty dam good.
All in all it's been a good day out down in the Capital[/i
WELL PLAYED TODAY SALFORD CITY REDS.

| Was good to finally get 2 points today.
We did well to come back, I thought it was over at 18-4 but pretty impressive to score 22 unanswered points.
We're still making hardly any yards from the forwards and we gave Quins far too many easy metres today.
Kicking game seems to be gradually improving although, as has been throughout the season so far, our short kicking game is terrible.
Can't believe it took 75 minutes for us to get our first penalty of the game as well.

Mate I think we've got the smallest pack in the league, we only have Ray Cashmere with any real saze and he's not played for about a month.

| Having just watched the tries on boots n all, m.smith and holdsworth looked like they combined pretty well! The passing along the line for broughtons try was class and you could see how much it meant to the players to take the lead in the game! Also J.Smith is a definate for a ban after taking out Orr, he didn't miss anyway! ha

Good john wilky last looked out
on the pitch at salford.
when the snow lay round about
deep and crisp and even
brightly played the lads that night
though the frost was cruelllll
when poor swinton scored a try
we had 94urrrrrrrrrr:7891.jpg |

| Great to get our first win, you could see how much it meant to the players at the end. But lets not get too carried away I still thought we were poor especially in the first half our lack of yardage is worrying at times we didn't make 5 meters on a set of 6 (No I'm not exaggerating). Quins were really really poor going forward, but to be fair our goal line defence was good apart from the soft try Orr scored from dummy half. I just fear that if it were anyone else we played on Sunday we have been beaten comfortably. The second half was all us though and we played some good stuff, quins didn't look like they could cope at times. All in all I'm pleased with the win, but still very worried for the season ahead.
